What the Hidden Bunker event is
Hidden Bunker is a special world event that can trigger on the Spaceport map. It’s a multi‑step activity:
- first you unlock the bunker by powering antennas scattered around Spaceport;
- then you enter the bunker between Fuel Processing and Fuel Lines;
- inside, you download data from multiple terminals, fight ARC waves and other raiders, and loot high‑tier gear.
It’s designed as a high‑risk, high‑reward hotspot: once it opens, almost every squad on the server knows and can rush the area.
Location: where to find the Hidden Bunker
On Spaceport, the bunker sits in the south‑west quadrant of the map:
- Look between the Fuel Processing and Fuel Lines POIs.
- You’ll find several large blast doors / hatches in the ground, often on or just off dirt roads running between those two areas.
- These hatches are inactive until the antenna phase is completed; after that they unlock and you can interact to go down.
If you’re unsure, think of it like this: from the main Departure/Arrival buildings, head south‑west toward the fuel‑related markers; once you start seeing fuel tanks and pipelines, sweep that corridor for big recessed metal doors.
Phase 1 - Antennas: how to open the bunker
Before any bunker doors will open, players on the server must activate a set of antennas around Spaceport.
How antennas work
- Each antenna is a tall structure with a small console you can interact with.
- Interacting starts a “send unlock signal” channel:
- a progress bar fills up while you stay close;
- stepping out of the radius or getting interrupted resets it.
- You need to successfully activate four antennas in total (server‑wide). Once the fourth finishes, the bunker opens for everyone.
Where antennas usually spawn
Their exact spots can rotate, but common patterns:
- On or near rooftops of key buildings (Arrival, Departure, Control Tower‑like structures).
- Around industrial sections like Warehouses, Vehicle Maintenance, Docked Cargo or near the Rocket Assembly zone.
- On small hills or platforms overlooking major routes.
A practical loop:
- Land or spawn near the central Spaceport complex.
- Do a clockwise or counter‑clockwise circuit of big buildings, checking roofs and attached scaffolding.
- Once you spot an antenna, clear surrounding ARC patrols first, then start the channel.
Solo vs squad antenna play
- Solo:
- Avoid starting an antenna if you see multiple squads in the area; let them fight, third‑party, then channel.
- Use cover right next to the console so you can duck while the bar fills.
- Squad:
- One channels, others fan out 360° to watch for raiders and ARC reinforcements.
- Bring at least one long‑range weapon to tag enemies before they get close.
Once the fourth antenna on the server is done, you’ll see a global notification (or hear radio chatter) that the Hidden Bunker is now open.
Phase 2 - Getting to the bunker safely
As soon as the event opens, Spaceport becomes a magnet:
- Expect multiple squads and solo raiders all sprinting to the bunker corridor.
- ARC patrols can also converge there, especially heavier units.
Tips to reach it alive:
- Don’t run directly down main roads. Approach via side gullies, behind containers, or along the outer fence line where possible.
- If you’re late to the party, assume someone is already inside and others are camping entrances. Move slowly, scan for snipers and listening for gunfire from below.
- Consider setting up an ambush near one hatch instead of forcing your way in immediately-killing exiting squads is often safer than being the first team through the door.
Phase 3 - Inside the Hidden Bunker
The bunker interior is a compact multi‑level facility:
- Usually one terminal on an upper catwalk/room and the rest on lower corridors and side rooms.
- Narrow sightlines, short corners and choke points make shotguns, SMGs and quick‑handling rifles very strong.
- ARC units can spawn or drop in, so you may have to juggle PvE and PvP simultaneously.
Data terminals: colors and interaction
Each terminal has a light state that shows its progress:
- Red light - untouched. Interact to start downloading.
- Yellow light - downloading. You must stay close; if everyone leaves the radius or dies, it will fail or pause.
- Green light - done. Interact again to collect the data.
The event goal is to fully complete eight terminals (server‑wide objective; your squad gets credit for the ones you finish or help with). The more you complete, the more rewards you’ll see at the end.
Practical terminal route:
- On entry, quickly clear the upper level, grab that first terminal.
- Drop to the lower floor and move room‑by‑room, prioritizing terminals in safer corners first so you’re not stuck in obvious central kill zones.
- If you hear other players fighting, consider holding a partially cleared area instead of chasing every terminal; surviving with some data is better than wiping for greed.
Recommended loadouts and gear
Weapons
- Primary:
- A reliable mid‑range AR or DMR for antennas and outside fights.
- Inside bunker, you can swap to or carry a compact SMG/shotgun for corridor brawls.
- Secondary:
- Sidearm with fast draw-handy when reloading in tight spaces.
Gadgets / consumables
- Mines or proximity devices - perfect for placing on stairwells and doorways behind you.
- Grenades (frag/EMP/flash) - clear rooms before starting a download; deny pushes on your terminal.
- Healing items - bunker fights are drawn‑out; don’t go in with low stims or kits.
- If the game offers armor repair consumables, bring them-ARCs and other raiders will chew through plates quickly.
Tactics: solo vs squad play
Solo tips
- Hit and run.
- Don’t try to hold the entire bunker; focus on quickly flipping terminals from red to green in corners other players are ignoring.
- Third‑party intelligently.
- Let two squads collide, then clean up the wounded survivors and steal their finished terminals.
- Use sound.
- Footsteps, reloads and terminal interaction noises are your early warning-avoid taking fights when you’re mid‑download unless you have a strong positional advantage.
Squad tips
- Roles:
- One player starts/holds the terminal, one anchors nearby crossfire, one roams to intercept pushes or clear ARC waves.
- Layered defense:
- When downloading, have one teammate watch long angles, another guard close flanks, and use mines to secure your back.
- Communication:
- Call terminal color changes and enemy positions clearly (“upper green; rotating down”, “contact lower west corridor”, etc.) so no one overextends.
Rewards and when to extract
The bunker can contain:
- High‑tier weapons and armor,
- Valuable materials and crafting resources,
- Progress for any event or trial tasks related to downloading data or bunker participation.
General rule:
- If you’ve completed multiple terminals and bagged good loot, don’t overstay just to contest the last one or two-extract while you’re ahead.
- Use quieter exits or time your extraction right after another squad’s fight; most teams won’t chase far once they’ve taken their own share of bunker rewards.
