Before you buy an AION 2 account, confirm five things: the service region (NA East, NA West, Europe, South America or Asia), the exact server and faction, the login method tied to the NC Account, the character's Combat Power and gear, and whether the account can actually use the Market. Most bad purchases fail on the first three, not on gear.
Use it for any listing, including our own AION 2 accounts. This checklist is written for the global service that launched on 5 October 2026. Korean and Taiwanese accounts run on a separate service, and NC states that no progress carries between KR/TW and global.

1. Region and server: the most common mistake
AION 2 global runs five regions in the launcher: NA East, NA West, Europe, Latin America and Asia. NC hosts the Asia region in Japan. When you start the game you choose a region, then a faction, then a server.
Here is the trap. NC reused the same server names in every region. The official server notice lists Siel, Nezekan, Vaizel, Kaisinel and Yustiel in Europe, NA East, NA West, Latin America and Asia at once. A listing that says "Kaisinel Elyos" without a region tells you almost nothing.
- Ask for the region by name, not just the server.
- Ask whether the server is an Advanced Access server (Siel and Nezekan in every region, plus several more in Europe, NA East and Asia) or a launch server.
- Check ping from your location. NC's help center says the client auto selects the region with the best connection on first launch, and parties match on the leader's region.
If you plan to move the character later, read the transfer rules first. Transfers are limited to one per account for the whole window, only within the same faction and region, and Advanced Access characters can only go to other Advanced Access servers. The first window opens after maintenance on 13 October (PDT) for Advanced Access servers and 20 October (PDT) for launch servers.
2. Login system: NC Account, PURPLE and Steam
AION 2 global is playable through Steam or through PURPLE, NC's own launcher, and both share the same servers. What matters for a buyer is NC's own wording in its help center: your character and game data are associated with the NC Account that was used when the character was created.
Steam is a login method linked to that NC Account. If a seller unlinks Steam and you link a different Steam account to a new NC Account, the character does not follow. You need the original NC Account, with the seller's Steam unlinked and yours linked.
- Get the NC Account login and change its email and password first.
- On the NC "Manage Login" page, add a second login method, then unlink the seller's Steam.
- Link your own Steam account to that NC Account.
- Turn on two factor authentication, which NC's Security FAQ recommends.
One more detail: NC warns that an NC Account and an older PLAYNC account registered with the same email can conflict and block login until you change the NC Account email.
3. Combat Power, gear and character progress
Level is the least useful number. The global level cap at launch is 45, so most sold accounts are already there. Ask instead for Combat Power, equipment with enhancement levels, Stigma skills and Daevanion progress.
NC's server transfer table is a useful map of what is attached to the character itself. It lists Stigmas, Daevanion, Arcana, Wings, Pantheon, Monolith, Theostones, Titles, Pets and Closet skins as moving with the character. That tells you these systems are character progress, not something tied to a single server.
The fastest way to judge an AION 2 account is not the Combat Power number. It is how much of the account's value sits in Server Storage and server bound items, because those stay behind if you ever transfer.
Kina works the same way. Kina in the character's Cube and Character Storage transfers; Kina in Server Storage does not. Note that the in-game currency is spelled "Kina" on the global service, even though players still search for "Kinah".
4. Class choice
The global service launched with eight classes: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter. NC has not announced a class change service for global, so buy the class you want to play. Our AION 2 hub covers roles and the current meta.
On the Korean service, community tier posts on Inven rate Chanter as the most wanted party member and describe Ranger as overpopulated, which makes group finding harder. A geared support or tank is usually easier to use from day one than another ranged DPS.
5. Membership, Daeva Pass and Founder's Pack items
AION 2 is free to play, but the economy sits behind the Special Quai Membership. NC's product notice says the membership unlocks the Market, the Kina and Quna Exchange, Personal Trade, remote storage and extra Odyle Energy injections in Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary rewards.
- Membership is tracked per server and is limited to three purchases per server per month.
- The Daeva Pass premium track is sold per character.
- Founder's Pack items can be character, class or server bound, according to NC's FAQ, and the 7 October patch made Founder's Pack skins and titles usable on other characters and servers.
6. Trust status, region restrictions and the rules
NC runs a Trust Status System that can restrict Market and Exchange access. NC lists suspicious activity, RMT, botting, VPN use and playing from an unsupported region as reasons trust can be revoked. An account with Market access is worth noticeably more than one without it.
The global service is also closed in some countries. NC's help center lists China, Vietnam, Cuba, Syria, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Macau, Russia, Belarus, Belgium, the Netherlands, Curacao, Bonaire, Saint Maarten, Aruba, Serbia and Slovakia as places where it cannot accept payments or allow play.
Be clear about the rules too. NC's AION 2 Operation Policies list account trading as a violation, with suspensions of 7, 30 and 90 days on repeat offenses, and NC posted a direct warning against buying Kina or Quna from third parties on 4 October 2026. That is why ownership transfer and a recovery warranty matter more than the stat sheet.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play an AION 2 account bought on Steam through PURPLE?
Yes. NC's help center says a character created through Steam can be accessed in PURPLE by choosing the Steam login option with the same Steam account. Both platforms share servers and content.
Does a Korean AION 2 account work on global servers?
No. NC's launch FAQ states that progress from the Taiwanese or Korean version does not carry over to the global version. They are separate services with separate accounts and servers.
Can I change server after buying?
Only in NC's transfer windows, once per account, within the same region and faction. Advanced Access characters can only move to other Advanced Access servers.
Is "Kinah" the same as "Kina"?
Yes. The global client and NC's notices spell the currency "Kina". Older guides and the original AION used "Kinah".
What is the most important thing to check?
Control of the NC Account. Without the ability to change its email and linked logins, every other stat on the listing is at risk.
