AION 2 global runs 52 server pairs (104 servers) across five launcher regions as of 10 October 2026: Europe 23 pairs, NA East 9, Asia 9, Latin America 6 and NA West 5. Every server hosts one faction, and each Elyos server is matched with an Asmodian server for the Abyss and other cross faction content.
The lists below come straight from NC's official notice "New Server and Matchmaking Information", which NC says it keeps updated, plus the new server notices from 8 and 9 October 2026.
How AION 2 servers work
When you launch AION 2, you choose a region, then a faction, then a server. NC's help center says the client preselects the region with the best connection on first launch, and that a party's matchmaking follows the region of the party leader.
- One faction per server. Elyos and Asmodians never share a server.
- Matched pairs. Each Elyos server faces one Asmodian server in the Abyss, Spacetime Rifts and other faction modes.
- Pairings rotate. NC says it will update pairings periodically to balance the factions.
- Dungeons are cross server. NC confirms all instanced content, including dungeons, is available across servers.

North America East and West

NA West (5 pairs). Advanced Access: Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel. Launch: Vaizel/Triniel, Kaisinel/Lumiel, Yustiel/Marchutan.
Note that Vaizel is an Advanced Access server in NA East but a launch server in NA West. The type matters for transfers, so check it before you settle.
Latin America and Asia
Latin America (6 pairs). Advanced Access: Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel. Launch: Vaizel/Triniel, Kaisinel/Lumiel, Yustiel/Marchutan, Ariel/Azphel.
Asia (9 pairs). Advanced Access: Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel, Vaizel/Triniel. Launch: Kaisinel/Lumiel, Yustiel/Marchutan, Ariel/Azphel, Fregion/Ereshkigal, Meslamtaeda/Beritra and a ninth pair against Nemon that the notice spells "Hitani". NC's separate Asia notice from 5 October lists only the first eight, so treat the ninth as recently added.
There is no separate Southeast Asia region. NC's official FAQ lists server locations in North America, South America, Europe and Japan. Players in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand are told to set PURPLE's region to "Global" to see the game. Vietnam is on NC's restricted list.
Server names in AION 2 global are not unique. Siel, Nezekan and Kaisinel each exist in five regions, and the whole list mirrors the server names of the Korean service. When a friend, a guild recruiter or an account listing says "Kaisinel", the region is the half of the address that actually matters.
Korea and Taiwan servers
Korea and Taiwan run a separate AION 2 service that launched on 19 November 2025. NC confirms that progress does not carry between KR/TW and global. A community list on Inven recorded 20 matched server pairs at the Korean launch, and Korean outlet Gameple reported a new pair, Poieta and Ishalgen, opening on 27 November 2025.
NC has not published a consolidated KR/TW count we could verify, so we do not list them here.
How to choose your server
- Pick the region by ping, not by server name. The client suggests your best connection automatically.
- Pick a faction with your friends. You cannot group across factions, and transfers never change faction.
- Prefer newer launch servers. NC itself encourages players to join new servers, and queues are shorter there.
- Check your opponent. Your Abyss experience depends on your matched server, though pairings will change.
- Remember that dungeons are cross server. PvE groups are not limited by server population.
Queues are real at peak hours, which is one reason players buy ready AION 2 characters on quieter servers. NC's queue policy puts members in good standing into a priority queue when a server is full.
Server transfers
NC's transfer window opens after maintenance on Tuesday 13 October (PDT) / Wednesday 14 October (CEST) for Advanced Access servers, then a week later for launch servers, closing before maintenance on 27 October (PDT). Rules:
- Same region and same faction only.
- Advanced Access characters can only move to Advanced Access servers.
- One transfer per account for the whole period, with no limit on characters in that transfer.
- Characters must be level 10 or higher, in a village, and outside a Legion.
- Kina in Server Storage does not transfer; Kina in the Cube and Character Storage does.

Frequently asked questions
How many servers does AION 2 global have?
As of 10 October 2026, NC's notice lists 52 Elyos and Asmodian pairs, 104 servers in total: Europe 23 pairs, NA East 9, Asia 9, Latin America 6 and NA West 5.
Can Elyos and Asmodians play on the same server?
No. Each server houses one faction. The two factions meet only through server matchmaking in the Abyss, Spacetime Rifts and other cross faction modes.
Is there an SEA server for AION 2?
No dedicated one. The Asia region is hosted in Japan, and NC tells players in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand to set PURPLE to the Global region.
Can I transfer to another region?
No. NC's transfer rules allow moves only between servers in the same region and the same faction.
Which server is best for new players?
The newest launch server in your region, such as Nathara/Tassin in Europe or Hithanya/Nemon in NA East. NC recommends new servers and queues are shorter.
