Grand Summoners guide

Grand Summoners is a pixel-art action RPG with gacha summons. You build a team of units and fight bosses alone or with up to three other players.

There are two versions: Global (English) and JP (Japanese), with separate apps and separate account data. This hub covers the Global version only: the units, the summon system and what to check before you buy an account.

Progression

How a unit grows

Summon or farm the unit.
Level it and evolve it up to 5★.
Awaken it: it gets True Arts.
Super Awaken it. Players and sellers call this Ascended, “SA” or “SAwk”. It gets Super Arts and a higher level cap.
Extras: Dream Awakening for older units, True Weapons, SP. Arts, Limit Break with duplicates, and Luck.

Is Grand Summoners still updated in 2026?

Yes. The Global version got an update in late October 2026 and is running a KILL la KILL crossover.

Who makes Grand Summoners?

NextNinja Co., Ltd. develops and runs the game. Good Smile Company published the Global version in its early years.

Which version does METAMMO sell?

The Global (English) version only. The JP version is a separate app with separate account data.

Can I play on PC?

The Google Play listing shows Windows availability through Google Play Games. There is no separate PC client.

What is an “Ascended” unit?

A unit at its top evolution stage (Super Awakening). These units are the core of endgame teams, so their count matters most for account value.
