Where it stands

The Edge of Fate (15 July 2025) and Renegades (2 December 2025) were the last expansions. Bungie called Monument of Triumph, a free update on 9 June 2026, the final content update, and cancelled Shattered Cycle, The Alchemist and Shadow & Order.

The September 2026 reversal

On 21 September 2026 Bungie said it will restore vaulted campaigns, destinations and raids for all players, with no dates. Bungie has not said whether old triumphs or seals return with them.

Platforms and cross save

PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation and Xbox. With cross save one set of characters plays on every linked platform, but DLC must be owned on each platform, and switching cross save off locks it for 90 days.

Seals, emblems, exotics

What sets a Destiny 2 account’s price

Price index →
  1. 1

    Seals and titles

A seal is a set of Triumphs; finishing it gives a title. Destinypedia lists 31 Legacy titles (Unbroken, Chosen, Godslayer, Legend and others) that can still be worn but no longer earned, so they prove when an account played.

  2. 2

    Day One and contest emblems

Emblems for clearing a raid in its first 24 or 48 hours. That window never reopens, even if the raid returns: Wish Ascended, the Last Wish Day One emblem, has 12 owners.

  3. 3

    Raid and dungeon exotics

One Thousand Voices, Vex Mythoclast, Eyes of Tomorrow, Euphony and the rest drop only from their raid. "All raid / dungeon exotics" in a title lifts an account a band.

  4. 4

    Exotic count, catalysts and patterns

The exotic count is the broad measure of the collection. Finished catalysts and crafting patterns are hundreds of hours a new owner skips.

  5. 5

    Power and current gear

Characters at 550 Power with Tier 5 weapons are ready for current endgame content. Useful, but a new owner can earn it again.

Logins, cross save and Bungie Name

Destiny 2 FAQ

Is Destiny 2 still worth playing in 2026?

The servers are up and the game is supported with fixes. Bungie called Monument of Triumph (9 June 2026) the final content update, then on 21 September 2026 announced it will bring vaulted campaigns, destinations and raids back for all players, without dates yet.

What makes a Destiny 2 account valuable?

Things that cannot be earned again or take years: Legacy seals and titles, Day One and contest-mode raid emblems, rare community emblems such as the Bungie Bounty, raid and dungeon exotics, and finished catalysts and patterns. Exotic count sets the band; prestige items decide where in it an account sits.

Will unvaulted raids make old accounts worth less?

Access to old content stops being scarce once it returns. Proof of timing does not: a Day One emblem or a Legacy title records a window that has closed. Bungie has not said whether old triumphs, seals or raid rewards come back with the content.

Can I play a bought PC account on PlayStation or Xbox?

Yes, through cross save, if the Bungie.net profile has no PlayStation or Xbox account linked yet or the seller’s link can be used. Bungie no longer allows unlinking a platform account, and DLC must be bought again on each platform.

Is it safe to buy a Destiny 2 account?

Bungie’s banning policy treats giving someone access to your platform account and characters as an account recovery, and buying or selling recovery services can lead to a ban. That risk stays with any bought account. The risk a seller can remove is the previous owner taking it back: METAMMO accounts are checked by hand and carry a lifetime warranty against recovery by a previous owner (refund or replacement). Bans are not covered.
