Aion 2 feathers are Empyrean Traces, open world collectibles you hand in at a Monolith for permanent stats, titles and upgrade items. On the global servers your home Monolith (Verteron or Altgard) maxes at Resonance level 30 with 560 traces, and the Abyss Ereshkigal Monolith maxes at level 20 with 300 traces.

These values are for the global version. Feathers do not respawn, and each pickup takes a 2.5 second cast.

Traces are faction specific. An Elyos character cannot hand in Altgard traces. Reshanta is the exception: both factions collect there, each at its own Ereshkigal Monolith.
World feathers and the Verteron or Altgard Monolith
Your home Monolith needs 560 traces for level 30, but the map holds far more than that. Fextralife lists 560 spots worth 3 traces each in Verteron and in Altgard, while other guides count 140 feathers worth 4 points each. Either way, you do not need every spot.
Rewards are fixed per level, not random. Per Fextralife and Metaroad:
- Every level: a Revelation Amulet Enhance Scroll.
- Levels 2 to 9: Hidden Cube keys.
- Levels 11 to 19: Soul Codex: Reset.
- Levels 21 to 29: Unique Amplify Stone Fragments.
- Levels 10, 20, 30: titles, ending with Saint of Verteron (or Altgard).
- Permanent stats at 30: +6 Life, Destiny, Time, Space, Justice, Destruction, Freedom and Death, +5 Illusion and Wisdom.
The Korean and Taiwanese track also gave 112 skill points and action power. Global removed those, so on global feathers are about the Amulet, stats and titles.
Abyss feathers and the Ereshkigal Monolith
The Ereshkigal Monolith stands in Latesran Western Root (Elyos) and Latesran Eastern Root (Asmodians) in Chaotic Lower Reshanta. Each Reshanta trace is worth 1 point. To get in you need level 45 and 1,000 Gear Score.

Rewards lean toward PvP. Over 20 levels Wikily lists 52 Daevanion Crystals, 36 Amplify Stone Fragments, the titles Guardian of Ereshkigal (10) and Saint of Ereshkigal (20), and PvP Defense +225, PvP Accuracy +35, PvP Evasion +30, PvP Block +30 and PvP Attack +20.
Nobody on global can max the Ereshkigal Monolith yet. All 200 Lower Reshanta traces stop at level 16 of 20, and the other 100 sit in Middle Reshanta, which guides expect with the Abyss core. A listing that claims "Abyss Monolith 20" today is worth a second look.
Lower Reshanta is always-on PvP, and Game Truth reports a weekly allowance of seven hours there that does not carry over. Plan the route before you enter.
Account and server sharing
Feather progress is shared server-wide, not account-wide. Gamerblurb explains that a new character can use the Monolith's Sync Progress option to match the highest progress any of your characters reached on that server.
- Same server alt: sync at the Monolith, no recollecting.
- Different server: starts from zero.
- Other faction: uses its own Monolith and its own traces.

Efficient collection order
- Pick up traces while questing. Metaroad's advice is not to farm them early; grab what is on your path through the home region.
- Finish the home Monolith to 30 at level 45. Use an interactive map, since some traces sit in caves, in the air or underwater with no hint of height.
- Take Eltnen or Morheim to 8. Only 45 traces, a short job.
- Enter Lower Reshanta at 1,000 GS. Clear one area per visit inside your weekly time, starting with the dense Siel's Wings and Black Fragments areas.
- Sync your alts on the same server instead of collecting again.
