AION 2 server transfer on the global service is free and opens in two waves: Advance Access servers from 14 to 21 October 2026, then launch servers from 21 to 28 October 2026 (CEST dates). Each account gets one transfer for the whole period, inside the same faction and region, and Advance Access characters can only move to another Advance Access server.

These rules apply to the global version (Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia). Korea ran its own paid transfer in July under different terms, so do not mix the two up.

Dates and hours come from NC's transfer notice as quoted by several guide sites. NC can still adjust timing with maintenance notices, so check the in-game news before you log in on day one.
Daily application hours
Requests are only accepted in two daily windows per region:
- Europe: 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 CEST
- NA East: 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 EDT
- NA West: 09:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 19:00 PDT
- South America: 13:00 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 23:00 São Paulo time
- Asia: 12:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 JST
Who can transfer: the rules
The transfer button only becomes active when the account and character meet every condition below. Most failed attempts come from a forgotten Market listing or an unread letter.
- Character is level 10 or higher.
- Character is standing in a village, not in the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon.
- Character has left its Legion and has no Legion application pending.
- No Duty mission is under way.
- No items listed on the Market and no sale proceeds waiting.
- Shop Storage and the mailbox are fully claimed.
The destination must be on the same faction and in the same region. Elyos stay Elyos, Asmodians stay Asmodians, and a Europe character cannot move to NA. Server choice also decides Abyss population and Market prices, so read our AION 2 servers list before you pick.
What moves and what stays
NC sorts items into three groups: things that travel with the character, account items that merge into the destination, and things locked to the old server.

The trap is Server Storage, not the transfer itself. It feels like a safe shared bank, but it is the one place NC leaves behind. Move Kina and bound items into Character Storage on the character you are taking, then check twice before you press confirm.

How to transfer, step by step
- Pick the destination: same region, same faction, and the right pool (Advance Access or launch).
- Before your window: leave the Legion, finish or drop Duty missions, cancel Market listings, collect proceeds, claim Shop Storage and the mail.
- Move Kina and items out of Server Storage into Character Storage.
- Stand in a village with a character of level 10 or higher.
- During your region's daily hours, open the Shop, then Server Transfer.
- Choose the destination server and the characters to move. Pay for extra slots only if the screen asks.
- Confirm. Processing takes at least a minute and longer at peak; the account cannot log in meanwhile.
- Log in, pick a new name to replace @TemporaryName, and join a Legion on the new server.
Because the limit is one transfer per account, bring every character you want from that server in the same request. You will not get a second move later in this window.
Can I transfer a character on an account I bought?
NC's transfer rules are written per account and say nothing about who created it. The same conditions apply to every account: one transfer for the whole period, same faction and region, level 10 or higher, no Legion, clean Market and mailbox. NC makes no promise beyond that, and neither do we.
- Used transfer: if anyone already used the account's transfer in this window, there is no second one. Ask before you plan a move.
- Legion: a character sold inside a Legion must leave it first.
- Server Storage: items there stay on the old server, so value parked in it does not travel.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AION 2 server transfer free?
Yes, during this window. Base cost and per character cost are both 0 Quna. The only charge is 1,000 Quna per extra character slot when the destination server cannot hold all the characters you move.
Can I move from an Advance Access server to a launch server?
No. Advance Access characters can only move to another Advance Access server, and only during the first week, 14 to 21 October (CEST).
Can I change faction or region with a transfer?
No. Transfers stay inside the same faction and the same region. An Asmodian on a Europe server can only move to another Asmodian Europe server.
Do I keep my character name?
Not automatically. Every moved character is renamed @TemporaryName and you choose a new name at first login. If your old name is taken on the destination, you need a different one.
Will there be more transfers after 28 October?
NC called this first window initially free and has not announced later windows or their price. Korea's earlier transfer charged Quna, so do not count on a free repeat.
Does dungeon matchmaking care which server I am on?
Less than you think. NC says instanced content, including dungeons, stays cross server, so the server mostly decides your Abyss, Market and Legion.
