What the Freddy Krueger skin looks like
Epic kept every part of the classic Robert Englund look: the fedora, the red and green striped sweater, the burned face and the bladed glove. The proportions are Fortnite's stylized ones, but the silhouette is instantly Freddy. The in-game description is "One, two, Freddy's coming for you."
There are no alternate outfit styles. The only toggle in the set is a particle on/off option on Freddy's Back Boiler.

Freddy's Boilermaker is a Fortnite Festival guitar that also equips as a back bling and a pickaxe. Its description, "Don't forget the finger picks," is a nod to the glove.
The bundle is cheap relative to the outfit. Freddy plus his Glove costs 1,600 V-Bucks, so the other five items (back bling, emote, wrap, kicks and guitar) add only 700 V-Bucks. Bought separately they would cost 3,100.
How to get the Freddy Krueger skin
There is no free route. Freddy is not in the Battle Pass, a quest reward or a tournament prize. You buy him in the Item Shop before he rotates out.
- Open the Item Shop and find the A Nightmare on Elm Street section.
- Pick the outfit (1,600 V-Bucks) or the bundle (2,300 V-Bucks).
- Confirm the purchase. Items appear in your locker immediately.
- Do it before October 16 at 8 PM ET, when the set is scheduled to leave.
The 1,600 V-Bucks price is 100 higher than the 1,500 V-Bucks most Fortnitemares collab outfits cost this year, such as the Five Nights at Freddy's characters. The difference is that Freddy's listing includes his pickaxe.
Freddy Krueger as a Fortnitemares boss
Freddy is also one of seven Fortnitemares 2026 bosses, alongside the four Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics, Adam Smasher and Hush. He roams Nightmare Neighborhood, the horror POI that replaced Battlewoods in the north of the map.
He is harder to spot than other bosses. Much of the time he walks around disguised as a normal NPC, and he can copy your own skin. He teleports between players and attacks at close range with the claw.
What Freddy drops
- Freddy's Nightmare: a mythic melee weapon that teleports you into striking range before slashing.
- 1-Up Token: a power-up item.
- Extra loot such as Slap Candy Corn and ammo or heals.
Fight him at mid range with an assault rifle or SMG, stay moving between his teleports and arrive at full health. Guides note his disguised form looks slightly taller than a normal player, which is the easiest tell.
Fortnitemares 2026 context
Game Rant calls this year's Fortnitemares lineup bigger than last year's. The first week of shop drops looked like this:
