With over 800 champions in RAID: Shadow Legends, knowing which ones are worth building can save you months of grinding. The 2026 meta has shifted significantly thanks to recent champion rebalances and new content like Cursed City and updated Hydra rotations.
S-Tier Legendaries — Build on Sight
The absolute top tier remains dominated by a handful of champions that transform your account overnight. Duchess Lilitu continues to reign as the best overall support in the game, providing team-wide veil, revive, and block debuffs in a single kit. Krisk the Ageless is the undisputed Clan Boss king — his ally protect and decrease speed combination makes every team better.
Warlord has climbed to S-tier thanks to Hydra importance, where his A2 cooldown increase is irreplaceable. Siphi the Lost Bride remains the Arena queen with her speed aura, revive, and turn meter boost. And Yumeko has proven herself as the best debuffer in the game for Hydra and Demon Lord content.
Hidden Gems Worth Building
Not every game-changing champion is a Legendary. Epics like Deacon Armstrong provide speed aura plus decrease defense on the same champion, making him better than many Legendaries for dungeon speed runs. Uugo brings decrease defense, block buffs, and a revive that no other Epic matches. Demytha enables unkillable Clan Boss teams that hit Ultra Nightmare from day one.
Among rares, Coldheart remains essential for Spider and Fire Knight dungeons even five years after launch. Kael is still the best starter champion and can carry you through the early game into Brutal campaign farming.
2026 Meta Shifts
The biggest changes this year came from Hydra difficulty scaling and Cursed City introduction. Champions with passive healing reduction and buff removal jumped dramatically in value. Block revive specialists like Foli and Rotos became essential for Cursed City progression, while AoE HP Burn champions like Drexthar and Mordecai are now mandatory for certain Hydra rotations.
Speed tuning remains king across all content. An account with perfectly speed-tuned teams of average champions will outperform an account with top-tier champions in random gear. This is why buying established accounts with pre-built teams saves hundreds of hours of gear grinding.
Account Value by Champion Roster
When evaluating RAID accounts for purchase, champion roster quality is the single biggest factor. An account with Krisk, Duchess, and Siphi is worth significantly more than one without, regardless of other progress. Void Legendaries in particular drive account value since they cannot be targeted through shard mercy systems.
