What the class is and how it works
- Core idea: Generate Soul Fragments, spend on abilities and Void Metamorphosis (Meta). In Meta, damage spikes with Void Ray spam + Reap nukes.
- Range: 20-25 yard caster with melee dips for soul generation (Hunt, Void Blade). Constant movement - perfect for M+ and mobile raids.
- Resource: Soul Fragments. Generate via basic attacks, spend on Consume (heal+stacks), Hungering Slash, and Meta.
- Playstyle: Fast ramp (20-30s), strong ST + AoE. Like Havoc but Void-themed with heavy Meta planning.
For newbies: Imagine Havoc, but you eat Void instead of Fel and shoot beams instead of pure melee.
Talents and builds
- Hero talents:
- Void Scarred - ST focus, Mastery scaling, raid ideal.
- Annihilator (shared w/ Vengeance) - AoE/M+, Haste/Mastery parity.
- Stat priority: Mastery > Haste > Crit/Vers.
- Key spells:
- Hunt - opener, generates souls + damage.
- Void Ray - main Meta spam.
- Reap - AoE nuke.
- Ventral Retreat — mobility + mid-air Consume.
Basic rotation: Hunt → Void Blade → Hungering Slash → Consume → Void Ray → Meta Reap x3 + trinkets.
Strengths and where it shines
- Raids: Top ST in Void Scarred, great vs dot/rotation bosses.
- M+: Annihilator tears packs, mobility keeps damage on trash.
- PvP: Sticky + burst, Darkness/Blur keeps you alive.
- Ease: Low skill floor, high ceiling - plan your Meta windows right and DPS soars.
Weaknesses: Short ramp (hates frequent BL), soul-dependent - poor generation = damage drop.
