Why collab skins matter on an account
Fortnite account value is almost entirely cosmetic, and collaboration items are the part of it that behaves differently from the rest.
- Licensed skins usually leave permanently. When a licence ends, the item stops returning to the shop — unlike Epic's own cosmetics, which rotate.
- The rarest ones are the shortest-lived. A one-weekend event skin from a closed licence cannot be bought at any price afterwards.
- Battle pass collab skins never return. Past passes cannot be completed retroactively.
