Fortnite account value is almost entirely cosmetic: what the account owns that can no longer be obtained. Skins from closed seasons, Chapter 1 battle passes and promotional items are the whole market, because everything else can be earned by playing.
What determines value
- Retired skins. OG Renegade Raider, Black Knight, Skull Trooper, Ghoul Trooper, Galaxy and the Chapter 1 season rewards. None can be obtained now at any price, which is why they set the price.
- Account level and battle pass history. Past passes cannot be completed retroactively. A high level with completed Chapter 1 passes represents years that cannot be bought back.
- Save the World. Founder's access and accumulated V-Bucks earnings. Note that V-Bucks earned there are platform-bound.
- Platform linking. Which consoles and accounts are attached decides how you can play it, and whether links can be moved.
- Rare emotes and pickaxes. Promotional and event items outside the item shop rotation.
What to verify before paying
- That the skin list in the listing matches what is on the account, not a similar one.
- What platforms are linked and whether those links can be detached.
- Whether the email can be changed and two-factor reset.
- Account standing — any prior ban travels with the account.
- Whether Save the World is included, if that matters to you.
The risk worth understanding
The common way an account purchase goes wrong is recovery: the original owner reclaims it through support after the sale. It is more likely when the seller is unknown and the account is cheap enough that losing the reputation costs them little.
Across our own sales, accounts under $200 are returned roughly twice as often as accounts in the $400 to $700 range. The low end is where careless selling concentrates, which is worth weighing against the saving.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a Fortnite account expensive?
Cosmetics that cannot be obtained any more. OG Renegade Raider, Black Knight, Skull Trooper and Chapter 1 battle pass rewards are the items that set prices; account level and wins barely move them.
Can V-Bucks be transferred between Fortnite accounts?
No. V-Bucks stay on the account they were bought or earned on, and Save the World earnings are platform-specific.
Is it safe to buy a Fortnite account?
The risk is the original owner recovering it. Buy where escrow and a warranty exist, change the email immediately and set up two-factor authentication. Every METAMMO account is hand-checked and carries a lifetime warranty against recovery.
What does the warranty on a Fortnite account cover?
Recovery. If the previous owner ever takes the account back, you get a full refund or a replacement of equal value, your choice, with no time limit. Confirmed claims are settled within 48 hours. Publisher bans and losses on the buyer's side, such as shared credentials or phishing, are not covered.
How is a Fortnite account delivered?
A specialist hand-checks the account, then hands over the login details in a private support chat, usually within a few hours and at most 24 hours after payment. If we miss 24 hours you can cancel for a full refund, and before delivery you can cancel for any reason.
Can I change the email on a Fortnite account?
Fortnite accounts sign in through an Epic Games account. You receive the logins listed for the account, including the linked email where the listing states it, and support walks you through moving it to your own email and turning on two-factor. Keep the new details private: shared credentials are not covered by the warranty.
Buying a Fortnite account on METAMMO
