What Is a Flusher in Fortnite? Locations and the Geno Quest

October 9, 2026·METAMMO Team

A Flusher in Fortnite is a Port-a-Potty, the blue and white portable toilet on the island, and most working ones teleport you to another connected Port-a-Potty nearby. It is trending because the Chapter 7 Season 4 Geno Part 2 quest asks you to "Use a Flusher to block Geno from listening to The Order's message" without explaining the word.

What a Flusher actually does

Port-a-Potties first became interactive hiding spots in Chapter 2 Season 2. Epic later changed some of them into transport: you step inside, a short cutscene plays and you come out of a different Port-a-Potty a short distance away. You cannot take damage during that teleport cutscene.

A few rules are worth knowing before you rely on one in a fight:

  • Not every Port-a-Potty works. Some are pure set dressing with no interact prompt.
  • The storm still counts. Hiding inside does not protect you from storm damage, which applies when you come out.
  • The exit is close. You land at a linked Port-a-Potty nearby, not across the map, so it is a repositioning tool rather than a rotation.

Why the Geno quest says "Flusher"

Chapter 7 Season 4, called Override, launched on August 20, 2026, with Geno as the season's main villain. His story quests come in two parts. Part 2 runs through the "Geno: The Ultimate Reality" quest menu and unlocks in order, so you cannot skip ahead to the Flusher step.

The quest text frames it as sabotage: Geno is listening in on The Order, and flushing yourself away jams the signal. Mechanically, you just enter a working Port-a-Potty once. Destructoid, Game Rant and Gamer.org all confirm one use is enough and any match type counts.

Full Geno Part 2 quest list

  1. Emote to kneel to Geno (stand on a structure at the map's center, look up, use the Katana Presentation emote).
  2. Reveal 2 opponents with the Last Call item's secondary attack.
  3. Use a Flusher to block Geno from listening to The Order's message.
  4. Spread propaganda at Sunken Shores, WonkeeLand and Nightmare Neighborhood (two posters each, marked with "!" on the minimap).
  5. Record 3 pieces of Lobby Hack graffiti across those three locations.
  6. Activate Hope's Lobby Hack in the Admin Panel with the code S7H-50P-R03.

Finishing the line lets you enter runSystemOverride in the Admin Panel, which pays out 5,000 Sprite Dust. Guides count the steps differently (six or eight) because some split the Admin Panel codes into separate entries, but the content is the same.

The Flusher and propaganda steps share map space. Sunken Shores and WonkeeLand both have working Port-a-Potties and propaganda markers, so landing at either one lets you clear step 3 and part of step 4 in the same match.

Where to find a working Flusher

Flushers spawn in fixed spots, often at gas stations and on the edges of named locations. These are the ones guides tested for the Geno quest this season:

LocationWhere exactly
Chopped ShopAt the main location and at its gas station
WonkeeLandNear the waterslide, northeast of the map
Freaky FieldsEast edge, near the house and barn
Shaken SanctuaryNorthwest of the central triangular building
Sunken ShoresDirectly south, near the island's southern edge

Chopped Shop's gas station is the pick most guides point to first, because it has a confirmed working Port-a-Potty. If the interact prompt does not appear, you found a decorative one, so move to the next.

Flushers in earlier quests

This is not the first time the word has confused players. In January 2026, during Chapter 7 Season 1, the South Park "Born in Chaos" mini pass asked players to use a Flusher in three separate matches for 400 CRED. That version needed three matches, while the Geno quest needs one use in a single match.

The pattern is consistent: quest text uses "Flusher", the map never labels anything with that word, and players end up searching for it. Now you know it is always the Port-a-Potty.

Is a Flusher worth using outside the quest?

Sometimes. In Battle Royale it works as a small escape hatch: if you are pinned near one, entering it breaks line of sight and drops you at a nearby exit you know. In Reload and Zero Build, where building is limited or gone, that short repositioning matters more.

It is a poor tool against the storm or in end-game circles. You do not choose the exit, and a third party may be waiting near the other Port-a-Potty. For more on positioning this season, see our Fortnite meta guide and the Fortnite seasons overview.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Flusher in Fortnite?

It is a Port-a-Potty. You can walk into a working one to hide, and most of them teleport you to another linked Port-a-Potty a short distance away.

Where is the closest Flusher for the Geno quest?

The gas station at Chopped Shop is the easiest. WonkeeLand near the waterslide, Freaky Fields' east edge, Shaken Sanctuary and Sunken Shores also have working ones.

How many times do I need to use a Flusher?

Once. The Geno Part 2 step completes the moment you enter any working Port-a-Potty, in any match.

Why can't I enter a Port-a-Potty?

Some Port-a-Potties on the island are decoration only and have no interact prompt. Try another one, ideally at a gas station.

What do you get for finishing Geno Part 2?

After Hope's Lobby Hack (code S7H-50P-R03), entering runSystemOverride in the Admin Panel grants 5,000 Sprite Dust.

Does a Flusher protect you from the storm?

No. You still take storm damage after you exit. The teleport cutscene itself is safe from damage.
