Where to Buy a Clash of Clans Account Safely in 2026: Store vs Marketplaces, Supercell ID and What to Check

·METAMMO Team

Short answer: buy a Clash of Clans account only with its Supercell ID email moved to yours and with Account Protection either off or handed over, because Supercell support can return an account to whoever proves ownership with the player tag, clan and purchase receipts. A direct store such as METAMMO sells to you itself, checks every account by hand and covers it for life against recovery by a previous owner; escrow marketplaces such as G2G, Eldorado and PlayerAuctions host many sellers and cover you for days or weeks. Supercell's own rules forbid buying and selling accounts, so no seller can promise the account will never be banned.

Marketplace terms below come from each platform's own help pages, checked 6 October 2026. Clash of Clans facts come from Supercell's own terms and support pages. This guide was updated on 20 October 2026.

Store or marketplace: what is the difference?

On a marketplace you buy from one of many sellers. The platform does not own or check the account; it holds the payment, takes a fee and settles disputes within its cover period. Quality depends on the seller you happen to pick, and the same account is often listed by several resellers at once.

With a direct store there is one seller: the store. It sources the account, checks it by hand and answers for it after the sale. What you give up is third-party escrow, so look at the store's public record before you pay. METAMMO's record is public on G2G, Eldorado and GameBoost.

How a seller can take a Clash of Clans account back

Clash of Clans progress is saved to a Supercell ID: you log in with a one-time code sent to the email, with no password. Since September 2023 it is no longer possible to opt out of Supercell ID once an account has joined, and the same Supercell ID logs in to the other Supercell games too.

The email can be changed in game with a code sent to the current email, so the first step after buying is moving it to yours. That does not fully close the door. If Account Protection is not enabled, support decides ownership from the player tag, account name, level, clan name and the transaction IDs of purchases made on the account, then moves the account to the verified owner's email. The original buyer of the gems still has those receipts. That is how most recoveries happen, often weeks after the sale.

Account Protection adds SMS codes and single-use recovery codes, and once it is enabled it cannot be disabled. If a seller turned it on with their own phone, they keep recovery power for good. Supercell also says that for an account that was shared before, support cannot resolve disputes between different people.

What Supercell's rules say

Supercell's Terms of Service say you shall not purchase, sell, rent or give away your account, and that you have no ownership interest in it. Its Safe and Fair Play policy adds that Supercell reserves the right to permanently ban any account that has been transferred between players and cannot guarantee the security of such an account. Its support pages list sharing or selling accounts, and buying gems from unauthorised sources, as unfair play, and say support will not debate penalties once issued. No seller can remove that risk.

Platform-wide account terms from each platform's own help pages, checked 6 October 2026; they apply to any Clash of Clans account bought there. Other sites such as Z2U, EpicNPC and FunPay also carry game account listings; we have not compared their terms here. Dispute handling and seller checks are compared in our marketplace comparison.

Every marketplace above holds your payment until delivery, which protects you against a seller who never hands over the login. Their cover then runs for a fixed period, while a recovery by a previous owner can come months later. That gap is why the length of cover matters as much as having cover at all.

What to check before paying

  1. The Supercell ID email. It must move to an email you control, using a code sent to the current one.
  2. Account Protection. Ask whether it is on and whose phone it is bound to. Since it cannot be turned off, an account protected with the seller's phone stays recoverable by the seller.
  3. Other Supercell games on the same ID. One Supercell ID can hold Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars and others. Know what comes with the sale.
  4. Town Hall, heroes and walls in game. Ask for a screen recording of the village, the hero levels and the profile with the player tag.
  5. Where the gems came from. Gems bought from third-party vendors can be revoked. A stacked account with no purchase history behind it is a question to ask.
  6. Where you live. Supercell removed its games from app stores in Russia and Belarus in 2022, and Account Protection is not available in several countries.

Red flags

  • A seller who will not change the Supercell ID email to yours.
  • Account Protection already on with the seller's phone.
  • A max account at a price that only makes sense if it was taken from someone.
  • A request to pay outside the marketplace to save fees.
  • A promise that the account cannot be banned.

How METAMMO handles Clash of Clans accounts

METAMMO is a store, not a marketplace: you buy every account from METAMMO, not from an individual seller, and each one is checked by hand: Town Hall, heroes, troops and the Supercell ID setup match the listing. So the deal and the recovery risk are ours. Our warranty is lifetime and covers one thing: if a previous owner ever takes the account back, you get a replacement of equal value or a full refund, your choice. Bans by Supercell are not covered, because no seller controls them.

We have sold game accounts for years and know how Supercell's rules and bans work, so we tell you what to avoid. Delivery is usually within minutes to a few hours, at most 24, with help moving the email and logins to yours. If the account you want is not listed, tell us the Town Hall level and heroes you want and we look for one.
