In The Division 2, level 40 is only the start of the endgame. After it, every level of experience becomes an SHD level, without a cap; each one gives a point for the SHD Watch, whose small permanent bonuses are all filled at SHD 1,000. Expertise, which is shared across the account, raises the quality of your gear item by item and is capped at 30. An account with a high SHD level and Expertise 30 has the grind already behind it: builds, exotics and materials for the hardest content.
Almost every Division 2 account at METAMMO is an endgame account, and the SHD number is the quickest way to tell them apart: a few thousand is a well-played character, ten thousand and above means years of play, and the highest are past thirty thousand. Most also state Expertise 30, Exotic Components, Prototype Cores and raid exotics.
How we count: an SHD level of 1,000 or more in the title ("SHD 13k", "27K SHD", "SHD LVL 1000+"), or Expertise 30 when the SHD number is missing or unclear.
