Lord heroes are the single biggest driver of a Watcher of Realms account's value, because each Lord carries a Lord Skill that buffs its entire faction. What matters is not how many Lords an account owns but how many sit at A5, since full awakening is what unlocks the complete faction buff.
Key facts about Lords
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Developer | Moonton; the game marked its 3rd anniversary in June 2026 |
| Factions | 10 factions; a Lord buffs only its own faction |
| Where Lords come from | The Ancient Summoning track, not the regular Limited Banners |
| Copies for A5 | 5 copies of the same Lord (base plus 4 duplicates) |
| Pity cost to A5 | Up to 1,000 Ancient pulls if every copy lands at full pity |
| Time to max one Lord | 6 to 12 months at competitive spending levels |
| Shortcut | Legendary Hero Soulstones can replace a duplicate on any Legendary, Lords included |

What a Lord hero actually does
Every Lord is a Legendary hero with a second layer: a Lord Skill that applies to every hero of its faction on the field. Moonton described Iovar, the second Lord of the Piercer faction, as "the perfect lord hero to boost your Piercer team based on both his personal skills and lord skills."
That is why Lords shape whole rosters. A strong Piercer Lord makes every Piercer marksman better, so the rest of the account gets more value from heroes it already owns. A Legendary without a Lord Skill only improves itself.
Lords that defined past seasons
- Valderon: promoted at the first anniversary in June 2024 as "one of the most powerful lord heroes," with a 15x summon rate boost.
- Iovar: Piercer Lord marksman released in May 2024, built around multi strike attacks and defense penetration.
Why A5 matters more than the Lord count
Awakening runs from A1 to A5, and each level needs one more copy of the same hero. For Lords that is harder than for regular Legendaries, because Ancient Summoning banners rate up a given Lord less often than Limited Banners rotate.
A guide on Lord costs puts the full A5 path at up to 1,000 Ancient pulls on pure pity, spread over several banner cycles, and notes that A5 is the threshold that unlocks the full faction buff. In practice that is months of saving or heavy spending for one hero.
A listing that says "21 Lords" can be weaker than one with six. Twenty one Lords at A0 or A1 spread across ten factions often deliver less than five A5 Lords stacked in one faction, because the faction buff only reaches full strength at A5 and only helps heroes of that faction.
Sellers also count Lords differently. Some count unique Lords, others appear to count copies, which is how titles reach "120+ Lords" on an account with far fewer unique ones. Treat the number as a hint, then read the roster.
Which heroes add the most value next to Lords
Lords lift a faction, but the heroes beside them still win the fights. Current tier lists agree on a short group of meta Legendaries that buyers look for at A5.
| Class | Top picks (S+ or S) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fighter | Kassandra, Oren (S+); Sergei, Sun Wukong, Ezareth | Pocket Tactics, Sept 2026; AllClash, Oct 2026 |
| Marksman | Gu Shi (S+); Iovar, Jezebelle, Silas, Lady Alexandra | Pocket Tactics, Sept 2026 |
| Tactician | Guan Yu (S+); Valara, Cainan | Pocket Tactics; AllClash |
| Mage | Beelzebub, Ingrid, Praetus, Vierna, Nastya | Pocket Tactics; AllClash |
| Defender | Brokkir, King Harz, Torodor, Erlang Shen | Pocket Tactics |
Newer content does not always move value. AllClash rates the new Grey Blades faction at B+ to A and says it cannot really reach the top tier yet. A Wizard of Oz collaboration with Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion has been teased without a confirmed date.

How to read a Watcher of Realms account listing
Most listings follow the same pattern: server number, power, Lord count, Legendary count and a few named heroes with their A levels. Here is what each part tells you.
- Server. Titles use groups like 5xxx, 50xxx or 60xxx. Guild and Guild War plans depend on it, so match it to where your friends play.
- Power. A rough size check. It rises with any investment, useful or not.
- Lords and their A levels. The core of the price. Ask which faction each A5 Lord belongs to.
- Named A5 heroes. Compare them with the table above.
- Soulstones in the bag. Banked Legendary Soulstones can finish an awakening without new pulls.
- Login method. The account should be bound to an email or platform login you can take over.
Account tiers in plain terms
- Starter: a few Legendaries and a pile of gems. Cheap, but you still build everything yourself.
- Mid game: roughly 10 to 17 Lords with one or two key heroes at A5.
- Endgame: 20 or more Lords and several meta heroes at A5.
- Kraken: the community name for whale accounts that own nearly every hero, often with most of the roster at A5.
Our own checklist for this game is in the Watcher of Realms account buying guide.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Lord hero in Watcher of Realms?
A Lord is a Legendary hero with an extra Lord Skill that buffs every hero of its faction. Lords come from Ancient Summoning, so they are rarer and slower to awaken than regular Legendaries.
How many copies does an A5 Lord need?
Five copies of the same Lord: the base hero plus four duplicates. On pure pity that can take up to 1,000 Ancient pulls across several banner cycles.
Can Soulstones awaken a Lord?
Yes. Legendary Hero Soulstones can stand in for a duplicate on any Legendary hero, Lords included, which is why banked Soulstones add value to an account.
Is a higher Lord count always better?
No. Lords at A0 or A1 spread over many factions give partial buffs. A few A5 Lords in the faction you actually play usually matter more.
What does Kraken mean in Watcher of Realms?
Kraken is player slang for a whale account that owns almost every hero, often listed as something like 280 of 290 heroes with most of them at A5.
