Short answer: buy a Where Winds Meet account on the server region you play, with every linked login (Steam, Epic, PlayStation, Xbox, Google or the official launcher) handed over, because players cannot unlink logins themselves and characters cannot move between regions. A direct store such as METAMMO sells to you itself, checks every account by hand and covers it for life against recovery by a previous owner; escrow marketplaces such as G2G, Eldorado and PlayerAuctions host many sellers and cover you for days or weeks. Since May 2026 NetEase has been banning accounts tied to unofficial trading, so no seller can promise the account will never be banned.
Marketplace terms below come from each platform's own help pages, checked 6 October 2026. Where Winds Meet facts come from NetEase's terms and the game's official announcements. This guide was updated on 20 October 2026.
Store or marketplace: what is the difference?
On a marketplace you buy from one of many sellers. The platform does not own or check the account; it holds the payment, takes a fee and settles disputes within its cover period. Quality depends on the seller you happen to pick, and the same account is often listed by several resellers at once.
With a direct store there is one seller: the store. It sources the account, checks it by hand and answers for it after the sale. What you give up is third-party escrow, so look at the store's public record before you pay. METAMMO's record is public on G2G, Eldorado and GameBoost.
Why linked logins decide who keeps the account
The official cross-progression guide lets one character be reached from Steam, Epic, the official PC launcher and PlayStation, with Google and other logins on mobile, and the Xbox launch FAQ adds Xbox. It also says accounts cannot be unlinked manually after linking: unlinking needs NetEase support. So every login the seller ever linked stays a way back in until support removes it.
The same FAQ says cross-play and cross-progression only apply within the same server region, and character data cannot be transferred across regions. Oceania, the Middle East and South America servers became fully available in version 1.7. Buy on the region you play.
What NetEase's rules say
The Terms of Use say you may not share, sell or transfer your account without NetEase's consent and ban real money trading. In its May 2026 crackdown announcement, the team said offending accounts face long-term or permanent bans, illegitimately obtained items are recovered, and if they were already used, Echo Beads are deducted and the balance can go negative. It also said it has never authorised any third-party platform for top-ups or discounted sales. No seller can remove that risk.

Platform-wide account terms from each platform's own help pages, checked 6 October 2026; they apply to any Where Winds Meet account bought there. Other sites such as Z2U, EpicNPC and FunPay also carry game account listings; we have not compared their terms here. Dispute handling and seller checks are compared in our marketplace comparison.
Every marketplace above holds your payment until delivery, which protects you against a seller who never hands over the login. Their cover then runs for a fixed period, while a recovery by a previous owner can come months later. That gap is why the length of cover matters as much as having cover at all.
What to check before paying
- Every linked login. Which of Steam, Epic, PlayStation, Xbox, Google and the official launcher are linked, each one with its email.
- The server region. The one you play on. Characters cannot move between regions.
- The Echo Bead balance. A negative balance means items were recovered by NetEase.
- Where the items came from. Items from third-party top-ups or discounted gifts are reclaimed.
- Ban and suspension history. Ask, and check the account signs in without a notice.
- Outfits and progress in game. A screen recording of the character, the outfits and the inventory.
Red flags
- A seller who hands over one login while others stay linked.
- A cheap account full of premium outfits, which often means discounted third-party top-ups.
- A character on a region you cannot play on.
- A request to pay outside the marketplace to save fees.
- A promise that the account cannot be banned.
How METAMMO handles Where Winds Meet accounts
METAMMO is a store, not a marketplace: you buy every account from METAMMO, not from an individual seller, and each one is checked by hand: region, linked logins, outfits and progress match the listing. So the deal and the recovery risk are ours. Our warranty is lifetime and covers one thing: if a previous owner ever takes the account back, you get a replacement of equal value or a full refund, your choice. Bans by NetEase are not covered, because no seller controls them.
We have sold game accounts for years and know how NetEase's rules and bans work, so we tell you what to avoid. Delivery is usually within minutes to a few hours, at most 24, with help moving the email and logins to yours. If the account you want is not listed, tell us the region and outfits you want and we look for one.
