Short answer: buy a Zenless Zone Zero account either on an escrow marketplace (G2G, Eldorado, GameBoost, U7BUY or PlayerAuctions), where the platform holds your payment until delivery, or from a direct seller with a written warranty against recovery, such as METAMMO. The biggest risk is the original owner getting the HoYoverse account back after the sale. Move the account to your own email, remove every phone and social login you did not add, and check that it is on the server you play on.

Why recovery is the main risk with ZZZ
ZZZ progress sits on a HoYoverse account, which can carry an email, a phone number and social logins at the same time. Changing the email in the HoYoverse account centre sends a verification code to the current email first, then to the new one. That is why the handover only works if the seller hands over the email or completes the change with you, and why any phone or social login left behind is a way back in. An original owner who can describe the account to HoYoverse support, for example its UID, creation date or purchases, can also try to recover it later.
The second risk is the publisher. HoYoverse's Terms of Service do not allow accounts to be sold, bought or transferred, so any bought account carries some risk of action by HoYoverse. No seller can remove that.
Server first, then agents
ZZZ has four servers: America, Europe, Asia and TW, HK, MO. One HoYoverse account can play on all of them, but agents, W-Engines and currency stay on the server where they were pulled. What a ZZZ account is priced on is its limited S-Rank agents from banners that have closed, their Mindscape levels and their signature W-Engines. Version 3.2 runs from 9 September to 20 October 2026, so check which agents a listing names against the S-Rank agent list and banner history.

All five marketplaces hold the payment until delivery, which is real protection against a seller who never hands over the login. Their cover then runs for a fixed period. A recovery through HoYoverse support can come later than that, which is why METAMMO's warranty against recovery has no end date.
What to check before paying
- The email itself. You need the email bound to the HoYoverse account, or the seller's help to move the account to yours. Without it you cannot change the email, and the previous owner can reset the password.
- Phone and social logins. Ask whether a phone number, Google, Apple or other social login is attached. "All unset" in a title means only the email is bound. Anything else must be removed after the handover.
- The server. Confirm it before anything else. Progress does not move between servers.
- Limited S-Rank agents, by name. Ask for screenshots from the game of the agent list, with Mindscape levels, rather than a count in the title.
- Signature W-Engines. "+ Sign" or "W1" in a title means the matching W-Engine is included. Check it in the inventory.
- Saved pulls and pity. Polychromes, Master Tapes and Encrypted Master Tapes add value. Ask for a screenshot of the currency screen and the signal search history.
- Who created the account. Ask whether the seller is the original owner. A reseller cannot stop the first owner from contacting HoYoverse.
Red flags
- A seller who hands over a password but will not hand over or change the email.
- A phone number or social login the seller wants to keep.
- Agent screenshots without the UID, or from the wrong server.
- A request to pay outside the marketplace to save fees.
- A promise that the account cannot be banned.
