Summoners War rune sets
Runes decide how strong a monster really is — and on an account, they are the part you cannot see from the monster list. Every classic set, how slots and upgrades work, and how sellers describe rune quality.Community

Basics
Slots and upgrades
- ◆
A monster has six rune slots. Slots 2, 4 and 6 can roll different main stats (speed, critical rate, critical damage, accuracy, resistance and more); 1, 3 and 5 are fixed.
- ◆
Runes upgrade to +15; the success chance falls as the level rises, down to 5% for the last step.
- ◆
Monsters also equip Artifacts alongside runes; Com2uS treats the two together, for example in the rune/artifact presets added in v9.3.2.

Reading “good runes” in a listing
Sellers describe rune quality in a few standard ways: the speed their best setup reaches (“Swift +231”, “228+ SWIFT”), the set and speed together (“VIO WILL +205”), Cairos clear times (“25s average Cairos”) or a count of high-efficiency runes. These are the seller’s own figures — ask for screenshots of the rune inventory and of key monsters’ stats before paying.
For how the LD5 count drives price, see the price index.

Runes FAQ
What are the best rune sets in Summoners War?
There is no single best set — it depends on the monster. Swift (+25% speed, 4 pieces), Violent (22% extra-turn chance, 4 pieces) and Will (1 turn of immunity at the start of battle, 2 pieces) are sets you will often see named in account titles.
How many rune slots does a monster have?
Six. Slots 1, 3 and 5 have fixed main stats; slots 2, 4 and 6 can roll different main stats such as speed, critical rate, critical damage, accuracy or resistance. Runes upgrade to +15, with the success rate falling at each level.
What does “Swift +231” mean on an account listing?
Sellers quote the speed their best rune setup reaches as shorthand for how well-runed the account is. A higher number points to better runes, but ask for screenshots of the rune inventory before paying.
