Gear Score and endgame gear
How to read a Black Desert listing title: how Gear Score is counted, what the enhancement abbreviations mean, and what each piece of endgame gear adds to an account.
AP + DP
Three numbers like 395/395/473 are AP, Awakening AP and DP. Gear Score is the average of the two APs plus DP — here 868. Two numbers like 397 AP / 480 DP add up directly: 877. Titles that say “874 GS” have done the sum for you.
PRI to DEC
PRI (I) · DUO (II) · TRI (III) · TET (IV) · PEN (V) · HEX (VI) · SEP (VII) · OCT (VIII) · NOV (IX) · DEC (X). Most gear stops at PEN (V); Sovereign weapons and Edana armor continue to DEC (X), and each step above PEN has a low success rate — which is why “Full DEC” is quoted in titles. CommunityCommunity

How is Gear Score calculated in Black Desert?
Gear Score is your AP plus your DP. Classes with Awakening have two AP values, so sellers write three numbers — “395/395/473” is 395 AP, 395 Awakening AP and 473 DP, a Gear Score of 868 (the average of the two APs, plus DP).
What do PEN, OCT and DEC mean?
They are enhancement levels: PRI (I), DUO (II), TRI (III), TET (IV), PEN (V), HEX (VI), SEP (VII), OCT (VIII), NOV (IX), DEC (X). Most gear stops at PEN (V); Sovereign weapons and Edana armor go on to DEC (X).
Why does Sovereign or Ekleta matter more than silver on an account?
Neither can be bought on the Central Market, so the only ways to get them are to make them yourself or to buy an account that has them. Silver and tradeable gear can be bought or sold separately.
