Before you buy a Black Desert account

Five things to check — region, login, email and OTP, the gear itself, and what is shared across the account.

What to check

1.Region first
Black Desert regions are separate games with separate characters and markets: NA and EU (one Pearl Abyss account, different servers), SEA, MENA, South America, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and more, plus console. An account cannot move between them, and some regions block logins from abroad. Pick the region you will actually play in, and check your ping.
2.Steam or Pearl Abyss login
Some accounts log in through Steam, others directly through a Pearl Abyss account (sellers write “web”, “client” or “launcher”). A Steam account means taking over the Steam account too; a Pearl Abyss account means the email behind it.
3.Email and OTP
Make sure you get full access (email, login and password), so the account email can be changed to yours, and turn on Pearl Abyss’s one-time password (OTP) once it is yours. Whoever controls the email can recover the account.
4.Check the gear, not only the number
Ask for screenshots or a live look at the character: AP, Awakening AP and DP, the enhancement level of each piece, and which Sovereign, Edana or Ekleta items are on it. Two accounts at the same Gear Score can be very different.
5.What is shared, what is not
Storage, maids, pets and Life Skill gear are shared by the Family; most combat gear sits on one character. Count what the main you want to play actually wears.

Is it safe to buy a Black Desert account?

The main risk is an original owner trying to recover the account through support. Getting full access, turning on OTP and buying with a warranty against recovery reduce it. Every METAMMO account carries a lifetime warranty against recall or recovery by a previous owner for the original buyer: a replacement or a full refund, your choice.

Can I move a Black Desert account to another region?

No. Regions are separate services; an account bought for EU cannot be played on SEA or on console.

Does a Steam account cost more than a Pearl Abyss one?

Gear Score and gear decide the price far more than the login type; the price index shows the current split by login.
