An OG quad Fortnite account is one that bought Renegade Raider, Aerial Assault Trooper, Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper back in 2017, and it is still the most valuable kind of Fortnite account you can buy. The outfits themselves can be bought again today, so what buyers pay for now is the proof of 2017 ownership: original-owner styles that no new player can unlock. METAMMO recently sold one such account, with Black Knight, Leviathan Axe and Rue on top.
The sale that prompted this guide
The account was listed as "Stacked QUAD + Black Knight + Leviathan Axe + Rue | OG Renegade Raider | OG Skull Trooper | OG Ghoul Trooper | OG Aerial Assault Trooper".
That title packs most of the trading vocabulary into one line. Each word in it says something about where the price comes from, so the rest of this guide takes the title apart piece by piece.
We will not put a dollar figure on any single skin. Accounts are sold as a whole, and the total depends on the combination, the styles and how clean the account history is.
What "OG quad" means
In account listings, "OG quad" or "quad OG" most often means four Chapter 1, Season 1 outfits on the same account: Renegade Raider, Aerial Assault Trooper, Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper. That is how the sale above used the word, which is why Black Knight was listed separately with a plus sign.
The four are fixed: Renegade Raider, Aerial Assault Trooper, Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper. Black Knight, Leviathan Axe and other rare items are listed as extras next to the quad, never inside it. Still ask the seller to list every item and style, because the styles decide whether the four are truly from 2017.
"OG" itself is used loosely too. On a serious listing it should mean the item was bought during its first release in 2017, not after a later return. For the quad skins that difference is visible in the game, as explained below.
What "stacked" means
"Stacked" is trading slang for an account with a large and strong locker beyond the headline items. A stacked quad has the four OG outfits plus other rare or retired cosmetics, often a long list of Battle Pass rewards and collab items.
There is no fixed skin count behind the word. It is a seller's description, so check the locker yourself rather than trusting the label. In this sale the stack named in the title was Black Knight, Leviathan Axe and Rue.
Every item in the title, and whether it came back
The table below uses the Item Shop record from fortnite-api.com and the item pages on the Fortnite Wiki, checked in October 2026.

Why the quad still matters after the 2024 return
For years Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper were described as items that would never return. That ended on 20 December 2024, when Epic opened the OG Season Shop. Players can now earn XP to unlock the right to buy the original outfits again, along with Raider's Revenge, the Season 1 pickaxe.
So an account that simply shows Renegade Raider in the locker proves very little today. It may have been bought last year.
Epic did not leave original owners empty handed. In the same announcement it promised an exclusive style for them, and in update v33.20 (spring 2025) Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper each got a Black & Gold style. According to the Fortnite Wiki, it unlocks only for players who bought the outfit in 2017.
Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper went through the same cycle earlier. Skull Trooper came back in October 2018, and update v6.02 added a Purple Glow style that only 2017 buyers have. Ghoul Trooper came back in October 2019, and update v11.01 added a Pink style, again only for 2017 buyers. That is why listings say "Purple Skull" and "Pink Ghoul".
The practical result: a real OG quad today is defined by four styles, not four outfits. Black & Gold on both Season 1 outfits, Purple Glow on Skull Trooper and Pink on Ghoul Trooper. If even one of those is missing, the account is not the same product.
Why Black Knight adds so much
Black Knight was the reward at tier 70 of the Season 2 Battle Pass, which ran from December 2017. To get it, a player had to buy that pass and level it to the end during the season.
Battle Pass rewards are not sold in the Item Shop later, and Black Knight has no shop appearance on record. Unlike the quad, there is no second route to it. Its counterpart Red Knight, by contrast, was an Item Shop outfit and has been sold many times since.
That makes Black Knight a strong signal on its own. It shows the account was active in Season 2, and it pairs naturally with the Season 1 quad. In quad listings it is the extra item named most often, usually right after the four outfits.
Leviathan Axe and Rue: the stack
Leviathan Axe is the Kratos pickaxe from the God of War collab. It arrived on 4 December 2020 and last appeared in the shop on 19 March 2021, according to the fortnite-api.com shop record. Collab items depend on licensing, so a return is never guaranteed.
Rue is an Item Shop outfit from Chapter 2, Season 2. The shop record shows her on sale on only a few days, all in April and May 2020, and never since. Few accounts have her, which is why she earns a place in a title next to 2017 items. You can read her full record on our Rue page.
Neither item defines the account. They are the reason the seller could call it stacked rather than just a quad.
What pushes the total price
We do not price single skins, but the drivers of the total are easy to list:
- All four original-owner styles present and selectable.
- Black Knight, and other Season 1 to 3 Battle Pass items, on the same account.
- The depth of the rest of the locker: retired collabs, promo skins, rare pickaxes and emotes.
- Full access, meaning the original email can be changed and console links can be managed.
- A clean history with no chargebacks and no prior bans.
For current ranges across account types, see our Fortnite account prices page, which is built from a daily market snapshot.
How to check an OG account safely
An account at this level deserves an hour of checking. Start with the steps in our Fortnite account buying guide, then add these quad-specific checks.
Styles in the locker
Ask for a live video, not screenshots, of the locker with each OG outfit open on its style menu. Black & Gold, Purple Glow and Pink must be selectable, not shown as locked. This one check separates a 2017 account from a 2024 rebuy.
Linked email and logins
Find out whether the original email address comes with the account or can be changed to yours. Check which consoles and external logins (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and others) are linked, and whether two-factor authentication is set up in a way you will control.
The biggest risk with old accounts is recovery: the first owner contacting Epic support and taking the account back. Full email access and clear login history reduce that risk; they do not remove it.
Purchase history and refunds
Look at the account's purchase and V-Bucks history in the Epic account settings. Purchases paid for and later disputed with a bank are a warning sign, because chargebacks can lead to lost items or a locked account.
Epic's own refund tools are limited. An Item Shop purchase can be cancelled within 24 hours if the item has not been used. After that, a return request covers V-Bucks purchases from the last 30 days and uses a Return Ticket. Each account starts with three, regains one every 365 days and can hold at most three. None of this applies to 2017 purchases, so the quad itself cannot be refunded away, but recent purchases on the account can.

Frequently asked questions
Is Renegade Raider still rare after the OG Season Shop?
The outfit is no longer rare, because anyone could unlock it in the OG Season Shop from 20 December 2024. The Black & Gold style is still limited to players who bought it in 2017, and that style is what makes an account OG.
Is Black Knight part of an OG quad?
No. Quad means Renegade Raider, Aerial Assault Trooper, Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper. Black Knight is a separate extra: a quad account with Black Knight is written as quad plus Black Knight, as in the title of the account in this guide.
How do I know Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper are from 2017?
Open each outfit's style menu. Skull Trooper should have Purple Glow unlocked and Ghoul Trooper should have Pink unlocked. Both styles are reserved for players who bought the outfits on their first release in October and November 2017.
Can Black Knight come back to the Item Shop?
Black Knight was a Battle Pass reward, and it has no Item Shop appearance on record since its release in December 2017. Epic has not announced any plan to sell it, so it remains one of the safest markers of an early account.
