Short answer: buy an ARC Raiders account on the platform you play, with both the Embark ID and the platform login (Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox) handed over with their emails. Store or marketplace: what is the difference?
On a marketplace you buy from one of many sellers. The platform does not own or check the account; it holds the payment, takes a fee and settles disputes within its cover period. Quality depends on the seller you happen to pick, and the same account is often listed by several resellers at once.
With a direct store there is one seller: the store. It sources the account, checks it by hand and answers for it after the sale. What you give up is third-party escrow, so look at the store's public record before you pay. METAMMO's record is public on G2G, Eldorado and GameBoost.
Why the Embark ID and the platform both matter
Progress and cosmetics live on the Embark ID; the game licence lives on the Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox account. You need both, with their emails, so you can change the passwords. A seller who keeps either one keeps a way back in, and a recovery can come long after a short warranty has ended.
The first platform linked to an Embark ID is permanent and only Embark support can remove it. Relinking a platform account to another Embark ID does not move cosmetics. The game must also be owned, not shared: under Embark's shared license restrictions, if a Steam Family Sharing or Xbox home console licence is used by someone who gets banned, the licence is blocked on that platform for everyone sharing it.
The publisher risk is the one no seller can remove. Embark's ban and enforcement policy prohibits account sharing and selling, and penalties go from temporary to permanent bans, with hardware bans and, in serious cases, bans across Embark titles. Since September 2026 an account ever associated with a banned copy of the game also gets a permanent ban.

Every marketplace above holds your payment until delivery, which protects you against a seller who never hands over the login. Their cover then runs for a fixed period, while a recovery by a previous owner can come months later. That gap is why the length of cover matters as much as having cover at all.
What to check before paying
- The platform the Embark ID is tied to. It should be the one you play on. It cannot be changed by the seller.
- Both logins, with emails. The Embark ID and the Steam, Epic, PlayStation or Xbox account, so you can change every password.
- An owned game, not a shared licence. No Steam Family Sharing or Xbox home console licence.
- Rare cosmetics on the outfit screen. The G-Suit came only with the Deluxe pre-order, and the Server Slammer backpack only from the October 2025 open test. Neither can be added later, so ask for the in-game outfit screen.
- What survives the next Expedition. Level, stash upgrades, blueprints and workshop reset in an Expedition; cosmetics, currencies and bonus skill points stay. Starting an Expedition is voluntary.
- Duping and ban history. Embark bans for exploits including item duplication. A huge stash of identical rare items is worth a question.
Red flags
- A G-Suit or Server Slam claim with no in-game outfit screenshot.
- A game licence borrowed through Family Sharing or a home console.
- An Embark ID whose first linked platform is not the one you play on.
- A seller who offers only the Embark ID or only the platform login.
- A promise that the account cannot be banned.
