What Guide Crystals are (and why you should care)

First Guide Crystal - Pressure Plate puzzle
The first Guide Crystal is locked behind a pressure plate puzzle west of the Court of Savantae Ruins.
How to find the pressure plate location
- Open your map and look slightly west of Court of Savantae Ruins.
- Look for a square, white‑bordered marker or a structure icon near a stone building.
- From the nearby Resonance Beacon, glide or run toward that marker until you see a building with a door and several floor plates in front of it.
You’ll know you’re at the right place when:
- there’s a flat area with pressure plates on the ground,
- a locked door behind them, and
- usually some movable objects or clear pressure pattern hints nearby.
How the pressure plate puzzle works (conceptually)
The basic rule:
- Certain plates must be activated (pressed), others must remain untouched.
- When the correct combination of plates is active at the same time, the door will unlock.

When you reach the top, you’ll see:
- A small platform or altar with two pedestals/slots.
- Each pedestal is shaped to receive a single Guide Crystal.
How to use the Guide Crystals
- Interact with each pedestal and insert one Guide Crystal into each.
- After both pedestals are filled, a short activation animation will play.
