Buy a Wuthering Waves account on the server you will actually play on, because progress is tied to the region where the character was created and does not carry over to another one. Why the region matters more than the roster
Every resonator, weapon, Astrite and Union Level on an account lives on one server. Buy a stacked SEA account while living in Paris and you either accept higher ping for the life of the account, or you start again from Union Level 1 on Europe.
A guide on server choice from The Backdash puts it plainly: if you make significant progress on one server and then switch to another, the save will not carry over. Pre registration rewards do not follow you either, and each server has its own daily reset time.
What the server controls
- Ping. Combat is real time, so distance to the server shows up as late dodges and missed counters.
- Co-op. Crossplay only works with players on the same server, so your friends' region matters.
- Reset time. Dailies, Waveplate refills and shop rotations follow your server's clock.
- Resale value. Most buyers play on Europe or America, so accounts there are easier to sell on later.
Cross save works on every platform, inside one region
Wuthering Waves uses a single Kuro Games account across platforms. When the Steam version was announced, the developer said it would share data with PS5, PC and mobile, and the Xbox version that launched on July 10, 2026 joined the same system.
The rule that limits all of this is the server. Progress syncs across devices only when you sign in with the same Kuro Games account on the same region. A new device does not move your save anywhere.
Watch for third party logins
Some accounts were created through Google or Facebook sign in. A cross progression guide for the Xbox launch notes that these accounts must attach a Kuro Games email address, because third party verification alone is not enough for full sync. Xbox players also link a Microsoft account to the Kuro profile.
For a buyer, every linked login is a door. Ask which methods are attached, and make sure each one ends up under your control at handover.
The lowest priced endgame roster on the market is often on SEA or Asia, and for a European player it is still the wrong buy. You are paying for every pull already spent, and none of it can follow you to the server you will actually log in to.
Which server to buy on: a quick decision guide
- Start with where you live. Pick the nearest region: Europe for Europe, America for the Americas, SEA for India and Southeast Asia, HMT for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
- Oceania is the one real choice. Players in Australia and New Zealand usually pick SEA or America. Test both on a free account first.
- Follow your friends. If you want co-op with a group, the group's server wins over a few milliseconds of ping.
- Only then compare rosters. Within your region, judge the account on limited resonators, Sequences and signature weapons.
What the market looks like by region
Across the public account listings we track, Europe dominates: about nine in ten listings that state a region are on Europe, with America a distant second and SEA and Asia small. Demand follows the same pattern. In completed account sales we track since mid 2025, Europe made up about 63 percent, America about 29 percent and SEA about 7 percent.
That gap explains a pattern many buyers notice. SEA and Asia accounts with Union Level 80 and 15 or more limited resonators often list for much less than similar Europe accounts. They list lower because fewer people can use them, not because the roster is weaker.
How to verify the region before you pay
A listing title can say anything. These checks take a few minutes and settle the question.
- Ask for the server name on the login screen and a screenshot of the profile card with Union Level and UID.
- Make sure the screenshots match. The roster, Union Level and server on the profile card should belong to the same save.
- Check Convene history. It shows the pulls behind the roster and is harder to fake than a roster screenshot.
- List every linked login. Email, Google, Facebook, PlayStation and Xbox links should all be under your control after handover.
- Rebind the email and change the password once the account matches the listing.
Region and the current banners
Version 3.7 is live. Hsin, a new 5 star Electro Rectifier, runs from September 30 to October 22, 2026, with Iuno and Chisa reruns. Phase 2 starts October 22 with Suoming, alongside Lynae and Lucilla reruns. Because each server keeps its own reset clock, the hour a banner opens depends on your region.
