Version 3.7 itself launched on 30 September 2026 at 11:00 (UTC+8) and lasts 42 days. Phase 1 featured the debut of Hsin, an Electro Rectifier, with reruns of Iuno and Chisa. Those three banners close the moment Phase 2 opens, so anyone still chasing Hsin has until the morning of 22 October.
Who is Suoming
Suoming carries a sword hidden in an oil-paper umbrella and closes the current Xuanfang story arc, which Version 3.7 wraps up. Kit coverage before release is consistent on the basics: she is an Electro Sword unit, she can apply Electro Flare to enemies, and she uses Unison, the swap mechanic Kuro introduced alongside Hsin.
Unison lets characters swap in and fire their Intro and Outro skills without spending Concerto Energy. Previews describe Suoming entering a Unison mode after her Liberation, triggering allies' Concerto effects and granting 20% Electro DMG amplification plus 25% Resonance Skill DMG amplification. Treat those figures as pre-release; final numbers in the live client can change.
Coverage disagrees on her label. Some guides call her a sub-DPS, others a support, and at least one suggests she can hold the field as the main damage dealer if you skip Hsin. The honest reading is that she is flexible, and her ceiling depends on Hsin.
The rerun side: Lynae and Lucilla
Lynae is a 5-star Spectro Pistols user that Game8 rates as one of the best universal sub-DPS units and a premier Tune Break support. Her 3.7 banner is not rare. It is her fourth run in under a year:

- Version 3.2: 9 April to 29 April 2026

Lucilla debuted in Version 3.4 next to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration. She is a Glacio off-field support, useful for players building Glacio teams who want a flexible swap-in for hard content. This is her first rerun.
A rerun every two or three versions changes the math. Lynae has appeared four times since December 2025, so the cost of skipping her is waiting a few months. Suoming is new, and Kuro has not announced when she returns. Scarcity, not tier placement, should break a tie between the two.
Pull or skip: a decision table
The pity rules decide how much Astrite each target really costs. On the character banner, hard pity sits at 80 pulls and the first 5-star is a 50/50. If you lose it, the next 5-star is the featured unit, and that guarantee carries over to later banners. The weapon banner has no 50/50: the first 5-star weapon is always the featured one.

One timing detail matters. If you want Hsin and Suoming but cannot afford both, decide before 22 October. Hsin's banner does not overlap with Suoming's, and a guarantee carried from a lost 50/50 on Hsin will apply to whatever character banner you pull next.
What Phase 2 means for account value
Every new SS-tier limited pushes earlier starters down the queue. Buyers of Wuthering Waves accounts ask most about which limited Resonators the account owns, at what Sequence, and how many signature weapons come with them. A fresh Suoming at a high Sequence with Unspoken Rue reads as current. The same investment in a unit two patches old reads as last season.

Lily has been officially revealed as the next 5-star, with coverage describing her as a Spectro Pistols support tied to the Federated Cities. Rerun lists for 3.8 come from leaks only.
