- Marshall: SS in driffle/pocketgamer/ldshop, S+ allclash, but plain S in finalboss/buffbuff.
- Morrison and Fiona: SS in pocketgamer/ldshop, S in driffle/finalboss/allclash, A in buffbuff and lastwarhub (EW-only A).
- Schuyler, Lucius, Carlie, Adam split between S and A roughly evenly across sources; here resolved by majority (Carlie A tied-break by role, Adam S).
- Mason: S in pocketgamer/ofzen, A in driffle/finalboss/buffbuff.
- allclash (per-class tiers) is an outlier: Scarlett UR S+, McGregor S+ (EW Lv30 only), Venom UR A+.
- Monica: A in finalboss, B elsewhere, C+ in allclash.
- Hero types: one promotion guide (heaven-guardian) swaps Violet (Aircraft) and Sarah (Tank); all tier lists say Violet=Tank, Sarah=Aircraft.
- Season 6 Exclusive Weapons: cpt-hedge timeline/other sources show no new EWs in S6 (Awakening + EW shards for older heroes instead) - confirmed by two sources, not by patch notes.
- lastwarhub labels Adam/McGregor as 'Attack' - contradicts every other source (Defense); treated as error. Its 'unlock' column is EW timing, not hero availability.
- Season 6 name differs by server: Lost Rainforest vs Shadow Rainforest.

Tank beats Missile, Missile beats Aircraft, Aircraft beats Tank. Five heroes of one type give the largest formation bonus, so most players build one pure squad at a time, Tank first.

- Unlock needs 50 hero-named EW shards and the hero at 5 stars; battle pass (~$20) gives enough to unlock and reach Lv2; Black Market shard choice boxes are the free path.
- Priority advice: take main-squad EWs to Lv20 first (unlocks a 7.5% boost); unlock adds ~0.3M squad power, max ~1.2M.
SSR to UR
Promotion and early game
- One SSR->UR promotion per season: S1 Mason, S2 Violet, S3 Scarlett, S4 Sarah, S5 Venom, S6 Braz.
- Requires hero at 5-star SSR + that season's UR Hero Badge during the promotion window; hero drops to 3-star UR, skill medals and Wall of Honor shards refunded, shard cost per star doubles afterwards.
- Early game: Murphy (free day 1) + Kimberly (~$1) + Marshall (free day 22) + Mason form the core; SR heroes (Gump, Loki, Ambolt, Kane) and Farhad are placeholders.
- Commit resources to one squad type (Tank first) rather than spreading.

Who is the best hero in Last War?
Kimberly. Every 2026 tier list we compared puts her first or in the top tier: a back-row Tank attacker with area damage, the first exclusive weapon and the first Awakening in Season 6. DVA (Aircraft) and Tesla (Missile) follow and are the other two Season 6 Awakening heroes.
What is the best Tank squad in Last War?
Williams and Murphy in the front row, Kimberly, Marshall, Stetmann in the back. It is the usual first squad: two defenders, Kimberly as the carry, Marshall buffing her attack and Stetmann adding area damage.
What is the best Aircraft squad?
Lucius and Carlie in front, DVA, Schuyler, Morrison behind. Aircraft beats Tank, so this is the common second squad.
What is the best Missile squad?
Adam and McGregor in front, Fiona, Tesla, Swift behind. Missile beats Aircraft but its heroes arrive later, so it is usually the last squad finished.
Which troop type beats which?
Tank beats Missile, Missile beats Aircraft and Aircraft beats Tank, with about a 20% advantage for the favoured side. Five heroes of one type also give the largest formation bonus (+20% HP, attack and defence), and Season 6 removed the 4+1 mix, so pure squads dominate.
Should I promote SSR heroes to UR?
Mason, the Season 1 promotion, is the hero most guides recommend promoting, as a bridge for free players. Violet and Sarah are solid after promotion; Venom and Braz are low priority. Promotion drops the hero to 3-star UR and doubles the shard cost per star afterwards.
