Classic World: what’s new
Classic World is not a 1:1 copy of old MapleStory. It adds Crafting, Citizenship and the Forgotten Hollow area, modern controls, a Cash Shop with NX and Leaf Points, and content that Nexon will add after launch in its own order.

Citizenship
Classic World-original town-residency system for Henesys and Kerning City; available from Lv. 12.
- Become a Henesys citizen via Arthur (Henesys Town Hall) or a Kerning City citizen via Roxy (Kerning City Civic Center) (official).
- Official perks: access to special items in the local specialty shop; discount on Cab prices; discount on Storage Keeper services; discount on some general store items.
- Each town's Community Board has requests from residents; completing them earns Contribution toward your Citizenship grade; higher grade unlocks more ways to help the town (official).
- Introduced in Closed Online Test #2 (Aug 2026); COT2 infographic: 2.6K Henesys citizens, 3.3K Kerning City citizens.
- Fan wiki (based on COT2, work-in-progress): 10 grades from Traveler to Citizen of Honor; daily and weekly board quests; one active town at a time; Grade 5 unlocks VIP dailies; storage discount scales 5%-50% by grade; Henesys shop sells accuracy potions, Kerning critical-damage potions. Forgotten Hollow
Classic World-original area (underground zone reached from the forest north of Ellinia); NOT available at Founder's Access/launch.
- Official: 'Forgotten Hollow will not be available during Founder's Access as the path leading there hasn't been discovered yet! We plan to add this at a later date.' No date given.

Kerning City Party Quest 'First Time Together'

NX and Leaf Points
Cash Shop
- NX is the Cash Shop currency and is shared between MapleStory and Classic World; it is the ONLY thing shared. Maple Points do not carry over to Classic World.
- Leaf Points: officially 'an alternative source of Cash currency available in MapleStory Classic World'. At launch they are earned from in-game events as Leaf Points Exchange Coupons (e.g. Founder's First Step daily check-in, Oct 6-20: Day 1 = 5,000 LP coupon, Days 2-7 = 1,000 LP coupon each; coupons untradable, 7-day duration). In both test phases the whole Cash Shop ran on Leaf Points (all items 100 LP). No official info on buying Leaf Points with money.
- Some packs are 'NX only': Monthly Essentials, Convenience Essentials Pack and Pet Booster Essentials Pack 'can only be purchased with NX' (implies other items can be bought with Leaf Points - inference, not stated).
- Gift feature: available to characters Lv. 12+ (lower than main MapleStory's requirement); gifting uses NX.
- Founder's Mystery Fashion Crate (gacha): 3,500 NX x1 / 35,000 NX x11; Oct 6 - Oct 28 2026 7:59 AM UTC; one random dyeable cosmetic Equip (sets incl. Angel, Cat, Patissier, Sailor, Slime outfits).
- Unwanted crate items can be traded to other players or exchanged (before equipping) for 1 Aurora Stamp each; Signature Style Collection outfit = 2 stamps before opening. - Nexon posts refer to a single 'Classic World'; no world names or world count were published in any official post checked. IGNs are separate from MapleStory.
- At least 6 channels exist (official KPQ notice references Channels 1-6). 2026-10-08: due to increased activity on Channels 1 and 2, KPQ moved to Channels 3-6 only.

Classic World FAQ
What is Crafting in MapleStory Classic?
A Classic World system from level 10: you turn collected materials into items at crafting NPCs. There are six professions, including Smithing, Weaponcrafting, Tailoring and Leatherworking, each with its own NPC.
What is Citizenship in MapleStory Classic?
From level 12 you can become a citizen of Henesys or Kerning City. It unlocks the local shop and discounts on taxis, storage and some shop items, and your citizenship level rises through Community Board tasks.
What are Leaf Points in MapleStory Classic?
An alternative Cash Shop currency next to NX. So far they come as coupons from events such as the Founder’s First Step daily check-in. NX is shared with modern MapleStory; Leaf Points are Classic-only.
When are Orbis, El Nath and 3rd job coming to MapleStory Classic?
Nexon says they will come later, not in the original order, and that a new boss is in development. No date had been given when we checked; the post-launch roadmap was due at MapleStory Fest on 17 October 2026.
How many servers does MapleStory Classic have?
Nexon has not published world names or server locations. There are at least six channels; in launch week Kerning PQ was moved to channels 3 to 6 because 1 and 2 were overcrowded.
