Heroic worlds
Kronos and Hyperion (North America) and Solis (Europe), formerly called Reboot. Equipment cannot be traded, mesos and items cannot move to other accounts, and there is no Auction House, scroll enhancement or Bonus Potential. In return the Heroic passive gives 6x mesos, better boss equipment drops and Final Damage rising from 30% to 70% at level 300.

Bera and Scania (North America) and Luna (Europe). Trading between accounts is allowed, so gear and mesos can be bought and sold. Aurora and Elysium were merged into Scania on 27 August 2025.

The in-game power rating of a character, shown in equipment comparisons and, since v.267, in the party window. Listings quote it in millions (“575M CP”), and it is the single best summary of how strong the main character is.
Legion and 10K Legion
An account-wide bonus system per world, also called Maple Union. Characters are placed on a Synergy Grid and give bonuses based on their level and job. It unlocks at a total level of 500 or a level 200 character with 5th job. “10K Legion” means the combined Legion level is about 10,000.

From level 260 with 5th job, the HEXA Matrix holds HEXA Skills and HEXA Stats, upgraded with Sol Erda and Sol Erda Fragments. Released in v.246 (November 2023); v.271 added HEXA Common Nodes for all classes. Sellers state progress as a total (“110K HEXA”).

Arcane Symbols give Arcane Power, needed to fight in the Arcane River areas from level 200. Sacred (Authentic) Symbols are required in the level 260+ areas of Grandis, each starting at +10 Sacred Power and +500 main stat. Grand Sacred Symbols exist for Tallahart.

Star Force
An equipment upgrade measured in stars. Since v.264 gear of level 138 and above can reach 30 stars, and items that were at 23 stars were converted to 25. “22*” or “25*” in a listing is the star level of the main set.

Potential
Up to three random stat lines on equipment, in four tiers: Rare, Epic, Unique and Legendary. Listings quote the tier and stat lines of the main gear.
Genesis weapon (“libbed”)
Earned through Genesis missions that require Trace of Darkness from bosses, ending with the quest “Power Unbound, Stage 2”. A paid Genesis Pass sped this up. A “libbed” character has finished it; “4 libbed chars” counts several.

The next step after Genesis: it needs level 275, a finished Genesis weapon and the Shangri-La story, then wins over the Decisive Battle bosses Chosen Seren, Kalos the Guardian and Kaling. It gives +10% Final Damage, is upgraded only by Star Force, is limited to one per character and cannot be traded. A Destiny 2nd Transcendence followed in v.270.

The top armor tier: hat, top and bottom drop from Kalos the Guardian, cape, gloves and shoes come from Limbo, with set bonuses up to an 8-piece effect.
Eternal gear and Brilliant Boss set (Nexon patch notes)

Boss accessory sets. The Pitched Boss Set gives bonuses from two pieces and can also be crafted from Pitched Whisper Crystals. The Dawn set (Twilight Mark, Estella Earrings, Daybreak Pendant, Dawn Guardian Angel Ring) drops from Lucid, Will, Gloom, Darknell, Verus Hilla and Seren. The Brilliant set arrived with Eternal gear.

Companions added from Familiar Cards that give bonuses while summoned. 100 slots by default, expandable to 2,500 in Interactive worlds only.
Burning events
Limited-time levelling boosts. Hyper Burning MAX gives four extra levels per level-up from 10 to 260; Tera Burning gives two extra levels on up to three Challenger World characters; Beyond Burning covers one character from 260 to 268.
Original email (“OG email”, “OGE”)
The email the Nexon account was created with. In an ownership dispute Nexon looks at the original email, the name and birth date on the account and recent NX purchases, so the original email is what protects a buyer from the previous owner reclaiming the account.

Characters belong to the Nexon account. To play through Steam you link a Nexon account, only one at a time, and characters and purchases cannot move between Nexon accounts. Unlinking through support requires the Steam ID, the original email and purchase history.

What does Heroic mean in MapleStory?
Heroic is the current name for the worlds once called Reboot: Kronos, Hyperion and Solis. They have no trading between accounts, 6x mesos and a Final Damage passive of up to 70% at level 300.
What does dlibbed mean in MapleStory?
The character transformed its Genesis weapon into the Destiny weapon, which needs level 275, the Shangri-La story and wins over Chosen Seren, Kalos the Guardian and Kaling. It gives +10% Final Damage and cannot be traded.
Can I move a bought character to another world?
Not freely. In Heroic worlds items and mesos cannot leave the account, and characters cannot move between Nexon accounts. Nexon has run one-off World Leap events, such as Kronos to Hyperion in 2025.
What is HEXA in a MapleStory listing?
