For most players in North America, Kronos is the Heroic world to pick or buy on: it is the oldest and busiest, and Nexon itself has said its population is high. Hyperion plays by the same rules with fewer players, and Solis is the only Heroic world in Europe, so the right choice depends on your region and how much you value a crowded world.

What "Heroic" means after the Reboot rename
In November 2023 Nexon announced a two step rename. First, North America Reboot became Reboot Kronos and Europe Reboot became Reboot Solis, and a new world, Reboot Hyperion, was added. In the second phase Nexon dropped the "Reboot" label and grouped worlds into Heroic and Interactive categories. That is why many account titles still say "Reboot Kronos": it is the same world.
The gameplay rules did not change with the name. According to the MapleStory Wiki entry on Reboot worlds, Heroic worlds work like this:
- No trading of any kind: no direct trades, dropped items, Auction House or Meso Market.
- Non cash equipment is untradable. Gear is enhanced only with Star Force and Rebirth Flames, and Bonus Potential is not available.
- Cubes and similar items are bought with mesos or Reward Points rather than with NX.
- The Heroic passive multiplies mesos obtained by 6 and adds Final Damage that grows with level, listed at 65% for levels 250 to 299 and 70% at level 300 in the wiki's GMS v248 entry.
- Intense Power Crystals from bosses are worth five times more, and you must deal at least 5% of the damage to major bosses to get rewards.
Interactive worlds are the opposite: trading is allowed and paid enhancement exists. In North America they were also consolidated. On 27 August 2025 Nexon merged Aurora and Elysium into Scania, leaving Scania and Bera as the NA Interactive worlds.
Kronos vs Hyperion: the real differences
Kronos and Hyperion share the same rules, bosses and updates, so the difference is people. Kronos is the older world, running since the original Reboot launch. In June 2025 Nexon wrote that "the high population in Kronos has recently brought about technical challenges", and a month earlier it had restarted Kronos after a crash on 3 May 2025.
To spread players out, Nexon ran the Hyperion World Leap. It let Kronos characters at level 101 or higher move to Hyperion from 11 June to 26 August 2025, with extra windows from 27 August to 6 September 2025. A Legion Leap Box carried over Legion Coins, up to 20,000 Artifact Points and all Artifact EXP. The leap was one way and time limited.

On a Heroic world the account is the economy. Since nothing can be traded, every meso, Legion level and piece of gear was earned by characters on that world, so the world name in a listing matters as much as the level of the main.
Where Solis fits
Solis is the Heroic world for the Europe region. It started life as Europe Reboot and got its name in the same November 2023 change as Kronos. It follows the same Heroic rules, so the choice between Solis and Kronos comes down to where you play from and which community you want, not to game mechanics.
Nexon does not publish population figures for any world, so we cannot rank Solis against Hyperion with real numbers. What we can say is that a Solis character cannot simply be carried over to an NA world, and the 2025 World Leap only covered Kronos to Hyperion.
Which Heroic world to buy an account on
Because nothing moves between worlds without a special event, buy on the world you will actually play. A 10,000 Legion account on Kronos does nothing for a new character on Hyperion. Legion is counted per world, and mesos and gear are untradable.
- Decide your region first. Europe based players usually want Solis; North America based players choose between Kronos and Hyperion.
- Check the world on the character select screen, not just in the title. Titles often say "Reboot", which can mean Kronos or Solis.

- Look at the mules. Boss mules and link characters only help if they live on the same world as the main.

Frequently asked questions
Is Reboot the same as Heroic in MapleStory?
Yes. Nexon renamed the Reboot worlds in 2023 and now groups them as Heroic worlds. The rules are the same: no trading between players, extra mesos and a damage passive. Kronos was NA Reboot and Solis was Europe Reboot.
Which Heroic world has the most players?
Kronos. Nexon does not publish numbers, but in June 2025 it said the high population in Kronos caused technical challenges and opened a World Leap to move players to Hyperion.
Can I move a character from Kronos to Hyperion?
Only during special events. The Hyperion World Leap ran from 11 June to 26 August 2025, plus short windows until 6 September 2025, for characters level 101 and higher. There is no permanent transfer option.
Does Legion carry over between Heroic worlds?
No. Legion counts the characters on one world. During the 2025 leap, a Legion Leap Box carried Legion Coins and Artifact progress, but Legion level itself depends on the characters you have on the new world.
Is Solis a Heroic world?
Yes. Solis is the Heroic world in the Europe region. It was called Europe Reboot until November 2023 and uses the same rules as Kronos and Hyperion.
Can you trade on Kronos or Hyperion?
