Drakensang Online beginner guide
Pick a busy server, level to 100 on the main quests, then build one event set and upgrade gems. Six steps from a new character to the endgame.

Pick a class and a busy server
Dragonknight is the forgiving first class. Choose Grimmag or Heredur: players report the other servers are quiet, and there is no way to move a character between servers later.

Follow the main quests to level 100
The story quests carry you through the regions to the level cap. The Workbench opens early and handles crafting and upgrades.

Use the Premium trial and events
Premium speeds up levelling with extra experience and auto-loot. Monthly events hand out set pieces and currencies even to fresh characters.

Build your first set at 100
Event sets (Dragan, BGH, seasonal) are the backbone of every build. Upgrade one set fully before spreading resources.

Upgrade gems to unlock difficulties
Gem and rune upgrades unlock the harder difficulties, which drop better loot: Painful, then Excruciating, Fatal and Infernal.

Endgame: Parallel Worlds and Infernal Passage
At 100, farm Parallel Worlds and Infernal Passage, then push Fractured Planes (a 100-floor tower) and the PvE Season leaderboards.

Is Drakensang Online worth starting in 2026?
If you like action RPGs with long-term gear goals, yes: Bigpoint still runs monthly events. Expect a small community, concentrated on the EU servers Grimmag and Heredur.
How long does it take to reach level 100?
It depends on Premium and events; there is no reliable current estimate. The main quests take you there, and the real game starts at 100 with sets and gems.
Can I change server later?
There is no character transfer between servers, so pick a busy one at the start.
