What Affects Aion 2 Account Value in 2026: Data From 305 Sales

·METAMMO Team

Short answer: Gear Score sets the price of an Aion 2 account more than anything else. Across 305 completed account sales on the global EU and NA servers, each extra 100 Gear Score added about 16% to the price, and accounts at 2600+ GS sold for about 2.9 times as much as comparable accounts at 1900–2199 GS. Extra characters at level 45 added about 27%. Once Gear Score was taken into account, class, membership and battle passes made no measurable difference.

This is METAMMO research based on 305 completed Aion 2 account sales across major marketplaces, 1–19 October 2026. Every figure is relative: it says how much more or less an account sells for, not what it costs. Published 20 October 2026. Accounts for sale are in the Aion 2 catalog.

Factors ranked by effect on price

Each effect is measured with the other factors held equal: the Gear Score effect compares accounts of the same class with the same extras, and so on. The 95% range shows how sure the estimate is.

Ranked by strength: Gear Score first by a wide margin, then extra characters. The rest of what sellers put in a title (passes, membership, the login type) did not move the price in this sample.

Gear Score: the curve gets steeper at the top

Across the whole range, 100 Gear Score is worth about 16%. Above 2000 GS the step grows to about 20% per 100, so the gap between 2400 and 2700 GS costs more than the gap between 1700 and 2000. The bands in the table show the same thing: going from 1900–2199 GS to 2200–2399 adds about a third, while going to 2600+ almost triples the price. Our Gear Score explainer covers what raises it and which content each level opens.

Class, region and faction

Ranger is the class sold most often (30% of sales), followed by Cleric (15%) and Chanter (13%). At the same Gear Score no class sold for a measurably different price. Clerics came out about a quarter higher, but the result was not firm enough to count (p between 0.05 and 0.1), so we do not report it as a finding. See the eight classes for what each one does.

North American accounts appeared to sell higher than European ones at the same Gear Score, but only 17 NA sales were in the sample, too few to put a number on it. Faction is named in fewer than one listing in five, and neither Elyos nor Asmodian showed a clear effect. Taiwan and Korea servers were left out: their Gear Score scale is far ahead of global and does not compare.

How fast Aion 2 accounts sell

The median account in the sample sold 2.6 days after it was first listed. Accounts at 2600+ GS took a little longer, 3.3 days. The market is young, so these times reflect the first weeks after the global launch.

Methodology

  • Sample. 305 completed Aion 2 account sales on the EU and NA global servers where the listing stated a Gear Score, 1–19 October 2026, out of 435 cleaned sales in the period.
  • What counts as a sale. A single-account listing that closed and was not relisted by the same seller within ten days. The same account offered on several servers is counted once.
  • Removed. Levelling and boosting services, made-to-order characters, bundles of several accounts and placeholder prices.
  • Parsing. Gear Score, Combat Power, class, region, faction, crafted weapons, extra characters, passes and login type were read from listing titles in English and Russian.
  • Model. Log-linear regression of sale price on these factors, with heteroskedasticity-robust (HC3) standard errors. An effect is exp(coefficient) − 1. The model explains about 70% of the variation in price (R² 0.70).
  • Reporting rule. We state an effect as a finding only when p < 0.05 and the group has at least 30 sales. Weaker results are described as unconfirmed.
  • Limitations. Prices are the listed price when the sale closed, not any discount agreed in chat. Facts in listings were typed by sellers and not checked. Some closed listings were withdrawn rather than sold. Three weeks after launch is a short window, and the effects show association, not cause.

What we could not confirm

  • Crafted or named weapons (crafted bow, Kromede weapons and similar) pointed to about +20%, but only 28 sales mentioned one and the range runs from +1% to +45%.
  • Cleric premium of about +25%: not statistically firm.
  • NA vs EU: 17 NA sales, too few.
  • Combat Power moves together with Gear Score, so it adds nothing once Gear Score is known.

What to check when buying an Aion 2 account

  1. Gear Score on the character sheet. It is what the price rests on, so ask for a screenshot or a recording of the character window, not a number in a title.
  2. Every extra character. Alts added value in the data. Check the level and Gear Score of each one.
  3. Passes and membership as a bonus. They did not raise sale prices, so treat them as a bonus, not as the reason to choose an account.
  4. A crafted weapon, if one is claimed. Ask to see it equipped with its enchant level.
  5. Region and server. An account is tied to its region. Check the server and the transfer rules in our server guide.
  6. The login. NC Account or Steam, and whether the email can be changed. Our Aion 2 buying guide lists the checks.
