Competitive map pool
Seven maps. Act 4 (patch 13.00) brought in the new map Summit and Sunset and took out Fracture and Pearl Riot; on 18 August 2026 Act 5 swapped Breeze for Abyss Riot. Bind, Breeze, Corrode, Fracture, Icebox and Pearl stay playable outside ranked. Community

Recovery after the first shot slowed from 0.1 to 0.15s, with spread (2.25) and recoil (4.0) added — the quick double-tap is less reliable. Riot

What is the best agent in VALORANT right now?
By win rate across all ranks (MetaBot, 25 September 2026): Clove (52.9%) and Neon (52.2%), both rated S. Clove is also the most picked agent at 13.8%.
What maps are in the competitive pool?
For Season 2026 Act V: Abyss, Ascent, Haven, Lotus, Split, Summit, Sunset. Patch 13.00 added Summit and Sunset in place of Fracture and Pearl; patch 13.04 brought Abyss back in place of Breeze.
Is the Warden worth buying?
It is new in patch 13.06: a 2,900-credit rifle with a 2× scope that deals 50 body damage at every range, at 6.5 rounds a second with an 18-round magazine. It trades fire rate for consistency at long range — cheaper than a Vandal or Phantom, so it fits half-buy rounds on long maps. Riot has not yet published usage data.
