Rank buddies
At the end of each episode, players get a gun buddy for the highest rank they reached, if they won enough games. Buddies cannot be bought, so an Episode 1 Radiant buddy is proof of a top-ranked player from 2020. Community

How many ranks are there in VALORANT?
25: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Ascendant and Immortal each have three divisions, and Radiant is a single rank at the top.
How do you unlock ranked in VALORANT?
Reach account level 20, then play placement matches to get an Act rank. Rank rewards at the end of an episode need a set number of wins on top.
Does a high rank make a VALORANT account worth more?
A little, until the very top. In our index the median asking price is $49 for Gold, $61 for Diamond, $147 for Immortal and $400 for Radiant. Skin count moves price more than rank below Immortal. Sellers often state the peak rank, not the current one, so check the rank history.
What is a rank buddy?
A gun buddy awarded at the end of an episode for the highest rank you reached in it, with enough wins. It cannot be bought, so an early Radiant or Immortal buddy is proof of that rank at that time.
