Price by item level
The median climbs from $84 at 250-269 to $249 at 315+. Item level is a weaker driver than titles: it resets in value every season, while a Gladiator mount or a removed collectible does not. Data

Only listings that state an item level. Buckets with fewer than 15 listings are left out. The 250-269 bucket (18 listings) and 300-314 bucket (18 listings) is thin — read it as a rough figure. Hidden: Under 250 (13).
Region and focus
EU or US, PvE or PvP
Medians across all segments. EU accounts: $116 across 514 listings. US accounts: $300 — but from only 27 listings, mostly higher-end, so the gap reflects which US accounts get listed on these marketplaces rather than a regional premium. A World of Warcraft account cannot be moved between regions, so the region is fixed at purchase. Blizzard

How this is calculated
Asking prices of World of Warcraft (retail, Midnight) account listings seen on public marketplaces in the last 90 days, after removing duplicates, rentals, buy requests and the top and bottom 2% of each segment. Each listing is classified by what its title states; listings that state none of the segment criteria are left out. Item figures compare listings of the same segment with and without the item. Retail only: Classic, MoP Classic, private-server and empty box-key accounts are left out, and listings from Eldorado's mixed World of Warcraft category are kept only when the title names something that exists only in retail (item level, Mythic+ rating, Midnight). The sample is a few hundred to a few thousand listings, so treat medians as indicative.
Public account listings on FunPay, EpicNPC, Eldorado — asking prices in USD. Most listings in the sample come from FunPay, where European and Russian-speaking sellers dominate; US accounts are under-represented. Prices in other currencies are converted to USD. Item levels, titles and collectibles are what each listing’s title states. Retail (Midnight) accounts only. We publish aggregates only — no individual listings or sellers. Planning a purchase? Are US accounts more expensive than EU accounts?
In this window EU accounts have a median of $116 across 514 listings, US accounts $300 — but only 27 US listings were tracked, mostly higher-end, so the gap says more about which US accounts get listed than about the region. Accounts cannot be moved between regions, so buy the region you play on.

Comparing accounts of the same segment with and without the item, the largest price differences in the last 90 days were for Rank 1 (+$315), 100+ mounts (+$148), Gladiator (+$61). Other collectibles appear in too few listings to measure. These are asking prices, not completed sales.
