Cutting Edge and AOTC on an account

Raid achievements are permanent: Cutting Edge (final boss on Mythic while current) and Ahead of the Curve (Heroic) stay on the account after the season, but can never be earned again. That is why they appear in account titles. Past ones still on accounts include Cutting Edge: Midnight Falls, Crown of the Cosmos and Chimaerus; the current one is Cutting Edge: Ula’tek.

What is the current raid in WoW Midnight?

The current raid is The Venomous Abyss, eight bosses ending with Ula’tek, open since 18 August 2026 in Midnight Season 2. Patch 12.1.5 added a single-boss raid beneath it, The Unbinding of Kith’ix; the next raid, The Worldcore, comes with patch 12.2 in early 2027.

How many raids are in Midnight so far?

Six: The Voidspire, The Dreamrift and March on Quel’Danas (Season 1), Sporefall (patch 12.0.7), The Venomous Abyss and The Unbinding of Kith’ix (Season 2). The Worldcore is announced for patch 12.2.

What is the difference between Cutting Edge and AOTC?

Ahead of the Curve is for killing the final boss on Heroic, Cutting Edge on Mythic, both while the raid is current. Once the next raid tier opens, neither can be earned again, which is why sellers list them in account titles.

What mounts drop in The Venomous Abyss?

Mythic Ula’tek drops the Primeval Skyfriend; completing the raid’s Glory meta-achievement awards the Crimson Venomfang.
