How does the Battle.net Authenticator work?
The Battle.net Authenticator lives in the Battle.net mobile app and asks for a code or an approval when you log in, protecting the account even if the password leaks. In World of Warcraft it also adds backpack space and the Core Hound Pup pet. If you lose the phone, SMS verification on the login screen removes it.
What does the Battle.net Authenticator give in WoW?
Extra bag space on your backpack and the Core Hound Pup battle pet. Removing the authenticator removes both; reattaching restores them.
How do I remove an authenticator if I lost my phone?
Use “Can’t log in” on the Battle.net login screen: with a phone number on the account, SMS verification removes the old authenticator. Without SMS, contact Blizzard support.
Can I change a WoW account’s region?
No. Blizzard does not transfer World of Warcraft characters between regions; the region of an account is fixed for its characters.
Is a bought account safe once I change everything?
Changing the password, email and authenticator removes the previous owner’s access. METAMMO accounts also carry a lifetime warranty against recovery by a previous owner: replacement or refund.
