Aion 2 updates

Dates are the European maintenance day (CEST/CET); North America gets the same maintenance on the Tuesday before.

1. 4 November 2026 · announced

   Ludra raid returns (announced)

   • NC brings the Ludra raid to the global servers with the maintenance on 4 November 2026. Normal mode needs item level 2,800, Hard mode 3,000.
   • Until 25 November, the first party to clear Hard Ludra in each region gets the title Conqueror of Ludra, parties 2 to 5 get Champion of Ludra and parties 6 to 20 get Challenger of Ludra. Everyone else who clears Normal or Hard in that window gets Ludra Hunter.
   • From 28 October to 11 November every character can claim two Odyle Energy a day from the mail, and a login calendar from 4 to 18 November pays Kina, Abyss Points, Soul Crystals and a helmet.

   For an account: Item level 2,800 becomes the line between characters that can raid on day one and characters that cannot. Expect buyers to ask for 2,800+ for Normal and 3,000+ for Hard; a Ludra Hunter or Conqueror title will show that the character cleared it during the launch window.

2. 21 October 2026

   Expedition Hard and the Ariel Daevanion board

   • Krao Cave and Draupnir get a Hard mode: item level 2,600 to enter, the boss enrages after 4 minutes and each player has 3 revives.
   • Hard mode rewards: Philosopher’s Stone: Revelation (can be picked as the guaranteed reward), Ariel Fragments, a chance of Expedition Hero Artwork, more Kina than Normal, and every Unique crafting material, including Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will and Wrathful Ego. Hard achievements unlock Unique skins.
   • A sixth Daevanion board, Ariel, opens. Its points come only from Ariel Fragments: 100 fragments make one Daevanion Crystal: Ariel in Substance Morph, up to 30 times per character, and each dungeon has its own fragment. A spare fragment can also become 5 Enhance Stones.
   • Chanter: Spinning Strike visual fix. Sorcerer: Cold Storm Frostbite damage and Fire Wall Embers damage fixed.
   • Rise to the Challenge: Resurrection Spiritstones for Kina until 16 December. More players allowed into the Abyss, tougher Abyss bosses, and the Market limit on listing gathered materials eased for part of the restricted players.

   For an account: Item level 2,600 is now a working threshold: a character above it farms Hard rewards and Ariel points every week, one below it cannot. Ariel progress is new, so on a listing ask how many Ariel crystals the main has used (30 is the current cap).

3. 14 October 2026

   Server transfers open, Halloween event

   • First free server transfer window: Advance Access servers from 14 to 21 October, launch servers from 21 to 28 October. One transfer per account, same region and same faction.
   • Halloween event until 4 November: attendance and weekly missions pay Pumpkin Coins for Odyle Energy, Abyss Rift Stones, skin chests and a Special Halloween Chest.
   • Lower Abyss Rift Stones (one extra Abyss hour) sold for Kina until 28 October. The weekly cap on bound Odyle Energy rises from 4 to 20 per character.
   • Abyss entry time now banks up to 7 hours. A new rule limits Market listings of gathered materials based on play history.
   • Sorcerer and Spiritmaster fixes (Fire Wall, Cold Storm, Bittercold Wind, Ancient Spirit).

   For an account: During the window a character can change server once, inside its region and faction. A listing made before 21 October may name a server the character has since left, and an account whose transfer is already used cannot move again in this window.

4. 7 October 2026

   Founder’s Pack items for every character

   • Founder’s Pack skins, titles and other items can now be used on other characters and servers, through a free Founder’s shop that stays open until NC announces its closure.
   • Sealed Wings to Enhance Stones in Substance Morph is capped at 20 a week per server. Resurrection Spiritstone (Season 1) sold for Kina, 10 a week per server.

   For an account: Founder’s cosmetics (Ultimate tier in particular) now follow the account rather than one character, so a Founder account carries them to any new character.

5. 5 October 2026

   Global launch

   • AION 2 opened in North America, Europe, Asia and South America on Steam and PURPLE after Advanced Access from 30 September. Level cap 45, eight classes, Daeva Pass Season 1 running.
   • NC reported 400,000 active players on launch day.

   For an account: Every global account is at most a few weeks old, so value is in Gear Score, class and server rather than in age.

1. 6 July 2026 · Korea and Taiwan

   Chapter 1: Lands of Sand and Snow, Brawler class

   • Korea and Taiwan add the ninth class, the Brawler. NC has not announced it for global.

   For a global account: None yet for global accounts. If the Brawler comes to global, expect new characters rather than a change to existing ones.

2. 19 November 2025 · Korea and Taiwan

   Korea and Taiwan launch

   • AION 2 launched on PC and mobile in Korea and Taiwan. Progress there does not carry over to global.

   For a global account: Korean guides run ahead of global (level cap 50, more boards and classes), so check the version before trusting a Korean number.
