- A WoW Midnight (retail) account typically costs about $560; half of listings sit between $460 and $840 (35 accounts in our stock, 4 October 2026).
- The clearest premium is PvP: accounts with a Gladiator title have a median of $1,139 against $499 without.
- Level 90 characters list at about $560, level 80 at about $470; past 285 item level, gear alone adds little.
- Insist on the Battle.net login and its email, a stated warranty, and a seller with a public history.
In retail World of Warcraft, a level-capped character is the floor, not the product. What buyers pay extra for is what cannot be bought or caught up quickly: PvP titles like Gladiator, rare mounts and transmog, and a well-geared main. Here is how that looks in our own stock.
What a WoW Midnight account costs in 2026
From the 35 WoW Midnight accounts listed on METAMMO on 4 October 2026 — our own asking prices.
| Segment | Accounts | Median price |
|---|---|---|
| All accounts | 35 | $559 |
| Level 90 | 27 | $559 |
| Level 80 | 7 | $469 |
| With a Gladiator title | 6 | $1,139 |
| Without | 29 | $499 |
Item level matters less than you might expect once a character is geared: accounts at 285+ item level in our stock have a median of $489, close to the 270–284 group ($469). Samples per class are small, so class prices are not shown.
What actually drives the price
- PvP titles and rating. Gladiator and high 3v3 ratings are earned per season and cannot be bought back later.
- Collections. Mount counts, class and event mounts, and rare transmog — sellers list them because they are time-limited or long grinds.
- Level and item level. Level 90 is the cap in Midnight; item level matters up to a point, then flattens.
- Alts. Several levelled characters on one account add real value; check which one the price is for.
What to check before you pay
- Realm, faction and character name, with an armory link to verify gear, achievements and titles.
- Full access: the Battle.net login and the email it is bound to.
- Authenticator and phone: who controls them, and that they can be moved to you.
- A written warranty against recovery, with a clear claim window.
The risk worth understanding
Buying or selling World of Warcraft accounts is against Blizzard's terms of use, so the risks are an account action or the original owner recovering the account; the second is far more common, and it concentrates on cheap listings. METAMMO checks every account by hand and gives a lifetime warranty against recovery, with verified claims resolved within 48 hours; our record is public on G2G, Eldorado and GameBoost. See our WoW Midnight accounts, or the WoW Classic buying guide if you play Classic.
