How to Install RestedXP for TBC Anniversary
Setting up RestedXP takes about five minutes. Here is the step-by-step process.
Download the base RestedXP addon from CurseForge or the official RestedXP website. This base addon is free and acts as the framework for all leveling guides. Place the RXPGuides folder into your World of Warcraft Classic addons directory, typically found at World of Warcraft/classic/Interface/AddOns/.
Next, download the TBC leveling guide files. The premium guides cover all classes with optimized routes from 1-70, while free community guides cover basic routes. Place the guide folder into the same AddOns directory alongside the base addon.

After Hellfire, the route typically moves through Zangarmarsh and Terokkar Forest, which offer dense quest hubs with minimal travel time. Nagrand follows as the primary 65-67 zone, with its excellent quest density and grinding opportunities.
Blade's Edge Mountains and Netherstorm round out the 67-70 push, though many players hit 70 partway through Netherstorm or even late in Blade's Edge depending on dungeon XP along the way.

The TBC guide works only on the Burning Crusade client; it does not cover Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Hardcore or WoW Forever.
Free alternatives exist. The community-created Nutri guides on CurseForge provide basic TBC leveling routes that work with the RestedXP base addon. These cover most Alliance routes and offer a solid leveling experience, though they are not as optimized as the premium guides.

How Long Does 60-70 Take with RestedXP?

Experienced players using RestedXP premium guides and playing efficiently can reach 70 in roughly 20-30 hours of played time. This assumes minimal distractions, knowledge of the game, and focused questing.
Average players following the addon at a comfortable pace should expect 35-50 hours of played time. This includes reading quest text occasionally, getting distracted by PvP, running a few dungeons, and general exploration.

RestedXP Tips for TBC Anniversary
If you do choose to level with RestedXP, here are some tips to maximize your efficiency on Anniversary servers.
Install the addon before entering Outland. RestedXP can track your Classic-era progress and ensure you have completed any useful pre-TBC quests that reward early Outland advantages.
Use the preparation guide to stack 25 completed quests before entering the Dark Portal. Turning these in immediately gives you a massive XP head start in Hellfire Peninsula.

The guide is being built during the beta. On 9 October 2026 RestedXP announced that Phase 1, the 1-35 Speedrun routes, is finished, including the new Skyborne starting zone. A dungeon leveling guide is in progress, and Forever routes for 35-60 are planned after launch; until then the existing Classic Era guides cover 35-60. Discovery and Legacy-achievement guides are also planned for after launch.
