Four new areas — Zephras Isle, the Riverglades, Shen’dralas and Mount Hyjal — and more than a thousand new quests spread across the 1–60 journey. Several old zones are reworked too, and three new ship routes change how you cross the map.

No flying, no scaling

Blizzard’s design pillars for Forever rule out flying mounts and level scaling, and say levelling stays as important as endgameBlizzard. A new zone is a place you walk through at a fixed level — which is why the 1–60 route matters as much as it did in 2004.

Coming next: a new playable area in the Spring 2027 update and expanded world content in Summer 2027Blizzard.
