Roadmap FAQ

What is on the WoW Forever roadmap?

Launch on 4 November 2026; raids (Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, Onyxia’s Lair) on 9 December; the Hardcore ruleset in winter; a Spring 2027 update with two raids, two dungeons, new quests, a new playable area, a legendary questline and a PvP refresh; and a Summer 2027 update with a revamped iconic raid, a new raid, two dungeons, world content, profession and Legacy updates and another PvP refresh.

Does WoW Forever get updates every four months?

Blizzard has not said so. Its roadmap gives seasons — Winter, Spring and Summer 2027 — not a fixed cadence or month. A “March 2027” date circulating online is a press estimate, not a Blizzard date.

When does WoW Forever Hardcore launch?

Winter 2026/27, after launch, according to Blizzard’s roadmap. Dead Hardcore characters can transfer to another ruleset.

Will WoW Forever get new class and race combinations?

Blizzard says more are planned for future updates, without dates. Six new combinations arrive at launch.
