How itemization changed
Percentages became ratings
“Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 1%” is now 14 critical strike rating; 1% hit is 10 hit rating, 1% dodge 12 dodge rating, 1% block 5 block rating — seen across hundreds of items.
Spell power on caster gear
172 existing items gained spell power and 115 lost spirit, so caster items lean on spell power instead of spirit.
Healing gear also adds damage
Healing bonuses come with a smaller spell damage bonus, the way they did in The Burning Crusade — e.g. +13 healing became 13 healing and 4 spell damage.
“Equip:” lines became stats
School spell damage, mana per 5, defense, attack power and profession skill bonuses are item stats now, not separate equip effects.

How these numbers were made
Items are read from the WoW Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70205 (3 October 2026), and compared with Classic Era 1.15.9.70003. Forever stores item stats as shares of an item-level budget rather than fixed numbers; we rebuilt the values from the client’s budget tables and checked the method against Classic: it reproduces the Classic stats of 1,227 of 1,233 unchanged items (99.5%). Before/after numbers are shown only for primary stats; items with special equip effects are listed by what changed.Class changes
