Install

How to install RestedXP and import the Forever guide

Remove an old copy. If an older RestedXP is installed, delete its folder from Interface/AddOns first.RestedXP
Download the latest addon. Get RestedXP Guides 4.11.23 or newer from download.restedxp.com, CurseForge or GitHub. It is one download for every game version. With the CurseForge app, make sure it goes into your WoW Forever installation; CurseForge lists a Forever flavour for this addon.RestedXP
Put it in the Forever AddOns folder. Manual install: unzip so the folders containing the .toc files sit directly inside Interface/AddOns of your WoW Forever game folder, not one folder deeper.
Link your Battle.net ID. Bought guides are bound to your RestedXP account and Battle.net ID. Add the Battle.net ID in the account section of restedxp.com.RestedXP
Export the guide string. In your RestedXP account, open Downloads and click Export. Open the text file and copy the whole code string.RestedXP
Import it in game. Start the game, enable RestedXP Guides on the AddOns screen at character select, log in, right-click the RestedXP overlay and choose “Import guide”. Paste the string.RestedXP

Restart the game fully after adding a new addon; new addons are only picked up at launch, not on /reload.

If the guide misbehaves

· Keep the addon updated. RestedXP shipped eleven releases between 3 and 10 October 2026 alone; an old build is the most common reason a new route step looks wrong.
· Some newly added quests only show when “Show Group Quests” is enabled in the Guide Routing tab (RestedXP, 9 October 2026).
· Guide missing after an update: export the string from your account again and re-import it.
· Something stuck on screen: type /reload. If it persists, disable other addons and test with RestedXP alone.
· Guide will not import: check that the Battle.net ID on your RestedXP account is the one you are playing on.
