The Pouch of Violet Dust is a free WoW: Forever toy you earn by watching four hours of eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch before November 12, 2026 at 4:30 pm PST. Blizzard announced the drop on November 5 and repeated it in the November 6 WoW Weekly. The toy works only in WoW: Forever and only until the launch celebration ends in early December.
Dates and times
| PST (Blizzard's time) | UTC | |
|---|---|---|

| Drops end (deadline) | November 12, 4:30 pm | November 13, 00:30 |
| Watch time needed | 4 hours of eligible World of Warcraft content | |
| Delivery after claiming | Up to 24 hours | |
| Toy usable until | End of the "WoW: Forever Launch Celebration", early December (no exact date given) | |
The UTC times are converted from Blizzard's PST times. If you have not started yet, you need to begin at least four hours before the deadline. Leave extra time for claiming.
What the Pouch of Violet Dust does
According to Blizzard's drop article, the toy turns a campfire purple and increases "the duration of all camp benefits by 1 hour (for a total of a 2-hour duration)." The effect is shared, so other players resting at the camp get the same extension. It is useful for groups leveling together. More on leveling is in our WoW Forever leveling guide.
Blizzard calls it an ephemeral item. It is not a permanent collectible. After the launch celebration ends, the toy is removed from collections and is no longer available in game. The fine print says it is not available in WoW Classic or modern World of Warcraft, and it requires a World of Warcraft subscription or game time.
How to link your accounts and claim
- Sign in at
account.battle.net/connections, click Connect next to Twitch and follow the steps. - Watch four hours of World of Warcraft streams on Twitch while drops are active. You can switch between eligible channels in the World of Warcraft category without losing progress. Watching several channels at once does not make it faster.
- Claim the drop on the channel you are watching or in the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch.
- Log into the Battle.net region where you want the toy. Blizzard says the first region you log into receives the items.
- Wait up to 24 hours for it to appear in game.
