WoW Forever New Dungeons: All 9 With Level Ranges and Zones

October 15, 2026·METAMMO Team

WoW: Forever adds nine dungeons that never existed in original Classic, spread from level 13 to level 60. Blizzard published official level ranges for all nine on September 15, 2026, and four of them were playable on the beta by October 8. The table below shows each one with its range, zone and beta status, and marks anything not confirmed by Blizzard.

Where this list comes from

Blizzard named the nine dungeons in its BlizzCon "What's Next" panel recap on September 12, 2026, and the Wowhead summary of the October 9 "Your Adventure Begins" video repeats the count of 9 new dungeons. Three days after BlizzCon, community manager Kaivax posted a correction on the forums after some BlizzCon material showed the wrong range for Krol'dok Stronghold, and listed the ranges for all nine.

Zones are confirmed by Blizzard for some dungeons only. Where the zone comes from a secondary source, the table says so. All classic dungeons such as Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep and Scarlet Monastery remain in the game; see our full dungeon hub for those.

"Not yet on beta" means the dungeon did not appear in Blizzard's beta development notes through the October 8, 2026 build. The beta level cap was raised to 30 on October 1, so dungeons above that cannot be tested yet.

Levels 13-20: Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron

These two opened on day one of the beta on September 17, 2026, when the cap was 20. Hall of Thanes sits beneath Ironforge, which gives Alliance players in Dun Morogh and Loch Modan a closer option than the Deadmines. Ruins of Lordaeron has players helping the Forsaken reclaim their old capital, a natural Horde counterpart near Tirisfal.

Both overlap with Ragefire Chasm, Wailing Caverns and the Deadmines, so low level groups have more choice than in Classic.

Levels 24-33: Excavation Site and City of Dalaran

Excavation Site: Wetlands has an official range conflict. Kaivax's September 15 post lists 24-29, while the October 1 beta development notes list it at 26-31. We show both; the newer patch note value is more likely to match launch, but Blizzard has not said which is final.

City of Dalaran (28-33) opened on October 8, 2026. Horde players must complete a quest chain from Tarren Mill to get the Dalaran Sewer Key. Full details are in our City of Dalaran dungeon guide, including the secret boss covered in our Lyn the Ignored report.

Levels 35-60: the dungeons still to test

Blizzard's recap gives only short descriptions for the higher dungeons. The Drowned City involves naga and pirates. Blackmaw Hold is about corruption in its depths. Shaper's Terrace explores titan mysteries in Un'Goro Crater. Krol'dok Stronghold and Alcaz Prison have no official location text we could find.

Krol'dok Stronghold at 40-45 lines up with The Riverglades, a new zone Blizzard says covers much of the mid-30s to mid-40s. That link is reported by secondary sites, not stated by Blizzard. Our zones overview covers The Riverglades.

Rewards and Legacy Points

Blizzard's deep dive recap of September 13, 2026, says unique dungeon boss items are now blue quality, and that every dungeon drop was reexamined with hundreds of new drops added. Advanced Blueprint recipes, including advanced campsite objects, drop from specific dungeon bosses.

The Legacy System also ties into dungeons. According to Blizzard's September 23 article, defeating the final boss of every dungeon in the 15-25, 26-45 and 46-60 bands each grants one Legacy Point. New dungeons count toward the band their range falls in. See our Legacy System page.

More dungeons after launch

Blizzard's 2026/2027 roadmap image, shown with the What's Next recap, lists 2 new dungeons in the Spring 2027 major update and 2 more in Summer 2027. Names and levels for those four have not been announced.
