In the WoW: Forever beta, Feral Druids lost Tiger's Fury and King of the Jungle and got Shifting Power, a talent that turns mana into 40 Energy. The October 8 beta build then raised Bear crit Rage to 100%, renamed Predatory Instincts and adjusted Shifting Power. All of this is beta data and can change before launch.
Shifting Power replaces Tiger's Fury
Blizzard's Hunter and Druid deep dive (September 30, 2026) listed Tiger's Fury as removed and replaced by a Feral talent called Shifting Power. The October 1 beta notes gave the numbers: Cat Form only, 16 second cooldown, converts 55% of base mana into 40 Energy. Improved Shifting Power cuts the cooldown by 4 or 8 seconds. King of the Jungle was removed too.
Wowhead's Feral expert (October 6) sees this as a modern version of old powershifting without a macro, though it does not clear slows. He calls it a gain for PvE but a loss of Cat Form burst in PvP. Our Feral Combat page covers the spec.
October 8 beta build: Druid changes
Blizzard's October 8 development notes include a long Druid list. In the beta, Shifting Power can no longer be used at full Energy, and Thick Hide now runs in code instead of a script, fixing gear swap bugs while shapeshifted.

Fixes also landed: mana potions work in Bear, Dire Bear and Cat Form, Cat Form no longer lowers max health, and Demoralizing Roar now generates threat. Wowhead's datamined tooltips from the same build show Furor with five ranks: up to a 100% chance for 10 Rage on entering Bear Form, and on entering Cat Form, up to all of the Energy you had when you last left it. Bear Form forfeits that stored Energy.
Night Watchman's Torch in animal forms
Players liked the Night Watchman's Torch in the beta, but in Cat and Bear Form it clipped into the model. Wowhead reported on October 12 that a newer beta build lets the animal hold it in its mouth, as a popular Reddit post had asked. Separately, the October 8 notes say the torch's aura now shows only on the bearer.
What it means
