Mythic store, shards & currencies
Six currencies, one rule for the rarest items: heirlooms and Prestige skins cost 150 Heirloom Shards in the Mythic store and nothing else buys them.
Mythic store
What it sells
- Every legend heirloom set and recolor (26) — list.
- Every Prestige skin at tier 1 (18) — list.
- The Cobalt Katar Artifact and several universal melees after their events.
- Price: 150 Heirloom Shards each; no Apex Coins, no Crafting Metals. EA has also sold an occasional Heirloom Pack that gives a random heirloom you do not own.
- Not sold there: partnership Mythics (Buster Sword R5, Epyon Heat Rod, Beam Saber, Hadoken).

Currencies
Every Apex currency
| Currency | What it does |

| Apex Coins | The paid currency: store items, packs, the Battle Pass (950 Apex Coins) and legends (750). Under cross-progression PC, PlayStation and Xbox share one balance; Coins bought on Nintendo stay there. |
| Legend Tokens | Earned with account levels (600 per level). Unlock legends (12,000), some legendary recolors and challenge rerolls. |
| Crafting Metals | From Apex Packs and duplicates. Craft a chosen cosmetic (a legendary costs 1,200), but never a heirloom or a Prestige skin. |
| Heirloom Shards | Drop as 150 at a time from Apex Packs (0.045% per pack, guaranteed within 500 eligible packs) and from some events. 150 shards buy one Base Mythic: a heirloom set or a Prestige skin. |
| Exotic Shards | Added in Season 21 (May 2024). Bought with money or earned in small amounts; they buy Artifact and Mythic upgrades and the Exotic Shop’s reactive skins. They do not buy heirlooms. |
| Event currencies | Each event has its own (for example Zenny in the Street Fighter 6 event) for its reward shop; they expire with the event. |

Mythic weapon skins have tiers or variants unlocked with Exotic Shards. They are not heirlooms, but sellers list them next to heirlooms because they came from event or seasonal packs.

Store FAQ
How does the Apex Mythic store work?
The Mythic store sells Base Mythics for Heirloom Shards only: each of the 26 legend heirloom sets and 18 Prestige skins costs 150 shards and stays there permanently after its event, with no rotation. Partnership Mythics (Buster Sword R5, Epyon Heat Rod, Beam Saber, Hadoken) never enter it. Exotic Shards, added in May 2024, buy upgrades and Exotic Shop skins, not heirlooms.
Does the Apex Mythic store rotate?
No. Base Mythics stay in the Mythic store permanently once their event is over: every heirloom set and Prestige skin, for 150 Heirloom Shards each. Partnership Mythics are the exception and never enter it.
What can you buy with Exotic Shards?
Upgrades and variants for Apex Artifacts and Mythic melee and weapon skins, and the Exotic Shop’s reactive skins. Not heirloom sets or Prestige skins.
What are the Apex Pack odds?
Per EA: a standard Apex Pack has at least a rare item, a 24.8% chance of epic or better and 7.4% of legendary; a legendary is guaranteed within 30 packs; Heirloom Shards drop at 0.045%.
