- Retired cosmetics and ranked history come next: Prestige skins, early battle pass items, Predator and Master badges.
- Check the platform links first. The EA account, plus Steam, PlayStation or Xbox, decides where you can play it.
- Insist on the EA account email. Without it the previous owner can recover the account.
- Know the rules: EA's terms do not allow selling or transferring accounts. A warranty protects your money, not the account.
An Apex Legends account is bought for what can no longer be earned: heirlooms, retired event skins and a ranked history. Two accounts at the same level can be worlds apart, so read the inventory, not the level.
What makes an Apex account valuable
- Heirlooms. The biggest single driver. Each one takes either a rare pack drop or a full Collection Event, and they cannot be traded between accounts.
- Prestige skins. Bought with heirloom shards on top of the base heirloom investment, so they mark a heavily invested account.
- Retired cosmetics. Early battle pass rewards and limited Collection Event skins that are not sold any more.
- Ranked badges and history. Predator and Master badges, 20-kill and 4K damage badges show real play.
- Legendary skin count. A broad collection on popular legends and meta weapons (R-99, Wingman, Peacekeeper) adds depth.

What to check before you pay
- Platform and links. Apex runs on an EA account linked to Steam, the EA app, PlayStation or Xbox. Cross-progression shares progress across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, so ask which platform accounts come with it and which one is primary.
- Full access. You should receive the EA account login and its email, and be able to change both and set your own two-factor.
- Inventory proof. Screenshots or a video of the heirlooms, legend skins and badges, matching the listing item by item.
- Account standing. No active suspension or warning. A ban history travels with the account.
- Rank consistency. Level, badges and peak rank should tell the same story. A very high rank on a fresh account is a warning sign.
Red flags
- The seller will not show the inventory before payment.
- The EA account email is not included, or "comes later".
- Payment only by gift cards, with no buyer protection or warranty.
- No sales history you can check anywhere independent.
The risk worth understanding
EA's User Agreement tells players not to be involved in "account or in-game currency buying, selling", so EA can act against a traded account. No seller can remove that risk, and our warranty does not cover bans.
The practical risk is recovery: the original owner reclaims the account through EA support after the sale. It is most likely with sellers who have no reputation to lose. Secure the account straight after delivery and buy from a seller whose warranty covers recovery.
