Heirlooms are the rarest cosmetics in Apex Legends: a legend's own melee weapon with custom animations, sounds and an inspect sequence. As of October 2026, during Season 30 (Marked), 19 legends have their own heirloom and several have a second, recolored version given during one event, which makes 26 legend heirloom sets. Since 2024 Respawn has also added 12 universal Mythic melees that any legend can equip. This list covers all of them, with the event and date each one arrived and how you can get it today. Short answer: every legend heirloom is unlocked with 150 Heirloom Shards in the Mythic tab of the Store. Shards drop from Apex Packs (0.045% per pack, guaranteed by the 500th eligible pack; event, milestone and thematic packs do not count). Heirlooms cannot be traded or moved between accounts, so Apex accounts with heirlooms are the only way to own someone else's collection.
Apex Legends in October 2026: Season 30 and the Blood Pact Event
Season 30, Marked, started on 4 August 2026. The Halloween event this year is Blood Pact (13 October to 3 November 2026), with a Beasts vs Demons mode and Sparrow and Alter skins in the store. It does not add a heirloom or a Prestige skin. EA has said Season 31 starts in November 2026.

Legends without an heirloom of their own as of October 2026: Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage, Catalyst, Ballistic, Conduit, Alter, Sparrow and Axle. Fuse's Razor's Edge (September 2023) is the most recent new legend heirloom; since then Respawn has released recolors, Prestige skins and universal melees instead.
Universal Mythic melees (any legend)
Since 2024 some events add a Mythic melee weapon that every legend can use. They take the heirloom slot but are not tied to one legend.

- Cobalt Katar, the first Apex Artifact: Shadow Society event, March 2024. Its upgrades use Exotic Shards.

Prestige skins: the other 150-shard Mythics
Prestige skins are Mythic legend skins with three tiers; tiers 2 and 3 unlock after dealing 30,000 and 100,000 damage with that legend. After their event they cost the same 150 Heirloom Shards as an heirloom. There are 18 so far: Bloodhound (Apex Hunter, February 2022), Bangalore (Apex Commander), Wraith (Apex Voidshifter), Caustic (Apex Contagion), Valkyrie (Apex Interceptor), Revenant (Apex Nightmare), Loba (Apex Lycanthrope), Octane (Apex Riptide), Lifeline (Apex Corruptor), Pathfinder (Apex Mecha), Alter (Apex Voidsnake), Mirage (Apex Adonis), Wattson (Apex Icon), Mad Maggie (Apex Warrior), Horizon (Apex Stellaris), Fuse (Apex Inferno), Ash (Apex Ascendant) and Gibraltar (Apex Bruddah, August 2026).
How to get Heirloom Shards
- Apex Packs. Heirloom Shards drop as a set of 150 from any Apex Pack at 0.045% per pack, according to EA's published drop rates. If you have not received shards after 500 packs, the next set is guaranteed.
- Event rewards. Some events give 150 shards directly: the 5th Anniversary collection event (February 2024) and the Winter's Haunt milestone track (December 2024) both did.
- Not crafting. Heirlooms and Prestige skins cannot be crafted with Crafting Metals.
- Exotic Shards are a different currency. They buy Artifact upgrades, Mythic weapon tiers and Exotic Shop items, not legend heirlooms.
Once you have 150 shards, open the Store, go to the Mythic tab and pick any heirloom set or Prestige skin. Packs cannot be aimed at a specific heirloom; the shards are what let you choose.
Which heirlooms collectors value most
Collectors look at three things: how early the heirloom came out (Wraith's kunai and Bloodhound's Raven's Bite are the oldest), whether it is a recolor that was only given during one event (Hope's Dawn, Death Grip, Octane's Prototype, Emerald Edge, Winter's Bane), and how many heirlooms and Prestige skins sit on the same account. Because nothing can be traded between accounts, a long-played account with several heirlooms is a collection that cannot be rebuilt quickly.

What is the least expensive way to get an heirloom?
Playing: level-up and Battle Pass packs count toward the 500-pack guarantee, and events sometimes give 150 shards outright. Buying packs is the slower and pricier route, and you cannot pick the heirloom until the shards arrive.
Which legends do not have an heirloom?
Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage, Catalyst, Ballistic, Conduit, Alter, Sparrow and Axle, as of October 2026. Alter, Mad Maggie and others have Prestige skins instead.
What was the last heirloom added to Apex?
The last new legend heirloom was Fuse's Razor's Edge in September 2023. Since then the new heirloom-slot items are recolors and universal melees, most recently the Twin Razors (May 2026) and Hadoken (September 2026).
Is there an heirloom in the Blood Pact event?
No. The Blood Pact Event (13 October to 3 November 2026) has skins and bundles but no heirloom or Prestige skin.
Can heirlooms be transferred between Apex accounts?
No. Heirlooms, skins and badges stay on the account that unlocked them. Buying an account that already has them is the only way to get someone else's collection.
